Used to love Cafe Rouge but times have changed. Appreciate its hard to get staff these days but it wasn’t very busy and everything felt like it took too long. The Chicken & Ham pie was tasty but the mash potato wasn’t hot enough. The Rouge Salad is heavy on potato and the additional chicken £2.50 is char grilled and way too dry.Whilst I appreciate costs are rising, a large glass of wine at 9.40 and a pint of Leffe at £6.10 seems on the expensive side. But my main grip is the toilets. Two ladies, one doesn’t have a lock on the door and both needed cleaning.

We ordered the French onion soup and croquet monsieur. The sandwich was delicious and the soup was ok but lacking my favorite cheese top (cheese was only in two small pieces of bread). The apple tart comes out warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is a good (not great) restaurant for a leisurely lunch. Do not expect fast service. I would try another restaurant before going back.

Stopped for an early dinner as we walked around the very interesting area around the Cutty Sark - staying on the Isle of Dogs we had walked though the pedestrian tunnel under the Thames. Spacious comfortable dining area - we decided to eat inside as it was quite a cool evening. Waitress was attentive and friendly - drinks (Grafort Sauvgnon Blanc and Leffe) arrived quickly and orders were taken for Seabass an Vegetarian "Wellington" with butternut squash. Both were well-cooked as usual with Cafe Rouge - lovely new potatoes with the Seabass fillet - and our meal was easy and enjoyable. Recommended.

We used to go to Cafe Rouge alot, so it was lovely to see one in Greenwich, unfortunately the food was so dissapointing, and so expensive, that we would now never go back again. The chicken was so terribly dry and tasteless, the chips were mainly black and the burger bun wasn't fresh. The restaurant was empty at 5.30 maybe we should d have questioned why.

I came with a friend who has a Great Dane, as this was the only place where they seemed okay with dogs his size. Linda was wonderful, she got him some beef and a bowl of water and turns out she was a dog trainer as well. The food was delicious and the service was very nice!

A sad exercise masquerading the french experience. No waiter picked up the fact I was sitting outside for about 10 minutes. In fact, the time it took me to gather my thoughts and write this review was entirely dependent on how long I waited for the bill to arrive. I don't want to pile on the people who work here, all that I'll say is that there weren't nearly enough people sat down to warrant such a wait, with only about 10 tables being served at most it seems. Those wines which café rouge so proudly announces are french turn out to be nothing but 8 pound wines from Waitrose. Feeling like I dodged a bullet by not ordering it does not particularly seem like the pleasant restaurant experience I'd wished. The mussels were overcooked and bland. The chips were alright but at 16 pounds a pop, I expected more from my meal. The concept of saciety seems alien to this place, finishing my meal as hungry as I was walking in.I fail to see the raison d'être of such a place if any pub can entirely replace the experience.

Had to phone to book as it said full on the website. When we arrived there were only five tables in use which we found strange. The starter King prawns were nice but very hot so no complaints there. The main course I had was sea bass which had been cremated and very dry. Should have complained at the time.

Food was awful; all 4 of us found the food bad. I had the Camembert burger; burger was very dry and the bacon was very hard - had to take the bacon out to make it edible. Prawns starter was also bad, as was the calamari. Sea bass very dry and flavourless. Minute steak was dry too - it’s as if all the food was cooked in the morning and just heated up when ordered. I’ve had good experience at the cardiff branch but definitely would avoid this branch. Staff were nice up to the point of payment, then became a bit abrupt and dismissive
