“Great gastro pub with exceptional tasty food, lovely and friendly staff and a fantastic venue that shows sports , has a extensive drinks menu and a function room if needed.My wife and I and mum & dad love this place and have booked numerous events here using the function room to host parties such as our Mendhi night and birthday /wedding anniversary . The manager Rayes was so helpful and willing to help and organise and take the stress out of organising a 70+ guests list party and with the help of his team Joe and the wait staff and chefs the parties were a success without a hitch. A great thank you to all the staff there, please book this place for any upcoming parties you and your guests won’t be disappointed and great food at a reasonable price as well. “Yesterday I had the great experience drinking Guinness in this pub and the young lady behind the bar deserves a medal her name is shareen and she was basically serving everyone on her own for about 3 hours,the pub was packed for a funeral send off and customers were very impatience to be served really they needed more staff..I just had to let you know how great she was under so much pressure.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes”

“I recently held a reception here for a wake and I have to say that I was very satisfied with the experience. The team leader Frank really went out of his way to ensure that everything was right, checking with me and proactively calling to resolve any queries.The buffet food actually exceeded my expectations, it was tasty and well prepared and a great price of £11pp including desert. We used the private reception room which was good, though a decor update in due course would be even better.Well done Travellers rest team! I will likely be back for other events.Vegetarian options: The buffet had many good options and the pumpkin tart was especially tasty and with a nice blend of crunch and sauce.Dietary restrictions: We needed peanut-free dishes and the kitchen confirmed that everything served was compliant.Parking: There is a big car park and 3 hours free parking, which you can extend. Remember to register your vehicle reg on the screens at the bar.”
