Small place with limited tables. Very nice food though. Really enjoyed crispy rava dosa after a long time. Better than Rayner's lane one.

Authentic Karnataka food. Gourmet food with ingredients direct from India. Friendly polite respectful staff.

Delicious food, authentic taste, prompt service/delivery and attentive staff. What strikes you first is the simplicity of the restaurant, pictures of a visit from the Infosys founder hang proudly on the walls of this tiny place. The menu features some Bangalore classics and the chefs get the taste spot on! The benne masala dosa is a buttery crisp perfection and with just the right consistency and flavour for the filling. Masala dosa fillings are done easily at most places, but this MTR outlet gets it right. The Bisi Bele Bath would remind you of your Ajji/Paati’s cooking. Prices are decent, service at the restaurant is great and when we tried deliveries that’s come in promptly as well. Give this a try if you’re craving an authentic South Indian meal that would take you right back to your home. No photos taken because the food looks and tastes so good that it’s criminal to let the plate waiting while you get your phone out.

Thanks to LNER I was able to make this trip down South England to get this amazing authentic flavour of South India!! They have 2 branches, we went to the small one very close to Kenton station. This is no fancy eatery but a humble simple one with disposable cutlery, self-service and the food is absolutely authentic, amazing. Bangalore style dosas (not paper thin), rava idli (mtr specialty) and filter coffee (south indian style) is comparable to none. If you are looking for something authentically South Indian, Bangalore/Karnataka style, do visit and enjoy the taste!MTR as a brand has completed a centenary (100 years) in 2024.

We went on Friday evening to have our dinner. We ordered like 10 dishes. All of them have great taste. But I think the taste of Coconut Chutney can be enhanced or may be something is missing. Each and every item was served hot and waiting time was insignificant.Price for each item is less when compared to dishes in other restaurants. This is due to small portion size.So if you are super hungry, then 1 dish will not suffice. The atmosphere is not so vibrant, and there are only seating capacity for 14 to 15 people.Service was amazing.Hence in a nutshell 4 rating.Vegetarian options: All the items are pure vegetarian and highly recommended for full meal as well as quick bite.

Clearly the best South Indian Karnataka Style Restaurant. All dishes are 100% authentic. This is the only place in the UK where you get authentic filter coffee (mixed with chicory).Vegetarian options: Perfect for Vegetarians. And non vegetarians will learn to appreciate vegetarian food here. (I'm telling this as a non vegetarian)

Ever since it opened, MTR has been our go to place for dosas and south indian food, in general. Never been disappointed and would highly recommend all the variety of dosas.Tried the poori - sabzi during my last visit and that was yummy as well. Filter coffee is a must try.

Without doubt the best dosas in London. As authentic as it can get. The rest of the assortment is also fabulously reminiscent of south Bangalore cuisine from the house of MTR. The outlet is run on a self service basis and is very congested. While I believe MTR have simply got their location strategy horribly wrong for the quality of their offering - both outlets parked in Kenton, Harrow side, lack of parking, put off high street location etc, the congested outlet felt very claustrophobic. MTR has a brilliant positioning and experience if you visit their outlets in Bangalore/Mysore but these ones are off the mark. The toilet in particular is a disaster - a closet the size of an adult and you can barely even move to close the doors behind you. This outlet must have been a take away counter as opposed to sit in.Having said, once again acknowledge the food is fabulous and self service works like magic with highly efficient and friendly staff.

Feels like Bangalore in all aspects. Benne Dosa and Neer Dosa are popular dishes in Karnataka. The sambar tastes significantly different in Bangalore compared to other South Indian states. This place in Rayners Lane just made me remember the exact Bangalore taste. A must try restaurant specially for Bangaloreans missing the sambar in London.

Came all the way to MTR from Norwich and it was totally worth it! Benne masala dose, bonda soup, idly and poori were exceptional as you would expect from MTR. I imagined it to be more spacious but surprised to find only five tables. I hope they consider expanding to other locations across the UK soon.ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾವಳ್ಳಿ ಟಿಫಿನ್ ರೂಮ್❤️
