Excellent food but sadly my favourite barman Jordan is no longer here.I enjoyed coming to The George and being served by him. Have not seen him in a few weeks. His customer service was top notch and he had good craic.The remaining staff have a big shoe to fill. But I hope future visits will be good still.

Lovely place for pre drinks before dinner. Looks like you can eat in too. Also, it looks like it gets better and more lively after 9pm, but unfortunately I had a train to catch.

I go here all the time, drinks are a bit on the pricey side so if you're looking for a cheaper place, spoons is right down the road but the food here is spectacular, great seats, clean toilets, decent service its a go to dinner or lunch meal for me

Had my Sunday lunch there in Harrow today but the staff Risham had a very rude service providing a misleading price for the burger+beer deal. Giving me a bad face and attitude and claiming she didn’t charge me more. Engaged the pub leader but still nothing can be done. Worst service!!

Been here a few times and the staff have always been friendly, service quite good and the food reasonable. So we were very disappointed with the fayre that was offered up today (Thursday 28th December 2023). I used the app to order a steak for myself, medium and the "hot" burger for my friend. And I have to say this is by far the the worst food we have ever had there. My steak was burned, and the "hot" burger according to my friend was no hotter than a korma. The food was not very hot, and the side of onion rings I ordered was brought on the burger plate then dumped on the table. And I don't know if she was in a hurry to go somewhere, but no condiments were brought to the table, or even offered. I found them eventually, after walking around the pub to find them hidden away on a shelf in the middle. And I think I know why they customary "is everything alright with your food / how is your food" was not asked, because they knew it was below par. This has really put us off going there in the future, I know it's a pub, but if food is on offer, it should at least be served hot, or warm and closer to hot than to cold.

A varied clientele that included groups watching football, people on a social and a couple that were very openly affectionate. Big, clean space with warm friendly staff. The place can be intermittently rowdy but not aggressive. This is one of the better ports bars.

The George has a warm, inviting hospitality with wonderful facilities. Brilliant sporting pub with tv’s everywhere. First class entertainment and a place where they welcome everyone. Superb place to come and have a drink or a meal. Highly recommend visiting and enjoying your day here. The George celebrates salt of the earth people in our local community. I’m so impressed.
