Stars are actually for the online coffee… I live in the Isle of Man and always looking for that perfect coffee. At last I found it! The coffee plant was more than helpful in sending me lots of samples to help decide which ones are my favourite they even discounted the postage and threw in some free samples, excellent service and I’m having fun deciding which ones are my favourite. Definitely number one is the Nicaraguan and coming up a close second behind is the Colombian, thank you you’ve Saved my coffee beans ! I shall be ordering more very soon.

Excellent place for a break... we consumed a good hot chocolate, here you can find all the freshly ground coffee blends... the place offers small tables all with 80s music... I recommend

Great variety of coffee at a reasonable price. Lovely selection of chocolates which complement the drinks. Toilet on site for if you drink too much. Came on a weekend for the market atmosphere and it did disappoint.

An oasis of simple affordable and yummy coffee and food in an otherwise overpriced pretentious too touristy portobello market!!

I buy the coffee online. It never fails to impress. I like the espresso No 2 beans which they use in the shop, also the Italian roast and the continental Decaf. I notice people complaining about the shops appearance and saying its basic, but people need to know this shop opened in 1985 long before the Gentrification and barista culture infested the area. This is as close as you'll get to a community coffee shop.

A very underwhelming experience. This was a highly rated coffee place near Portobello Road Market. I went there with my family members and we ordered two single shot espressos and one latte. The service was quick but lacklustre. The espresso drinks were not strong and tasted like they had been watered down. The latte was okay. Not very memorable but okay. However, what threw me off the most was the dirty saucer that was given to me along with the cup. There were old bits of coffee grounds on the saucer which stuck to my cup. It was kind of nasty and distracted me from enjoying the coffee. The baristas also seemed bored and distracted. One of them was sitting on the floor after he was done making my drink and he was just itching his hair. I was hoping he washed his hands before making my drink but I wouldn't count on it. My brother asked about their coffee deal, half off for a bag of coffee. They told him it was an old deal since COVID and they hadn't taken it off the board behind them. What a sad coffee place.

This is the oldest coffee shop on Portabello, and it’s amazing, quality efficient, effective and minimalistic, they also sell different roast, coffees and teas.
