My cake was decorated well and the texture was light. It was a good tasting cake.However, the service I received when I walked in to order the cake was poor. There was a language barrier, the lady that attended to us was unable to express her self adequately in English and struggled to understand our questions. She appeared frustrated and came across as rude and angry, not quite sure if the emotions she displayed were due to the difficulties we were experiencing in our communication.There were no samples of the various colours on offer, so my final decision on the colour of the cake was not informed.My experience when I went in to pick the cake up was good. Another lady was serving and her ability to communicate was adequate.I will order a cake from Cake Box in future, but do so at a different branch.... maybe Barkingside, with the hope that the overall service will be better.

Serving fresh cakes all the time. The only problem is that they don't have a lot of variety in compare to the romford branch. They have like 5-6 options for just cheesecakes.

Disgusting cake place. Bought few times slices because they look good but the cakes are not fresh. They will change the fruits on the slices every two days and put the gel on top to keep the fruits looking good. But literally under the fruits you can see the shape and discolouration of the previous fruits which were on the cake slices. The cream is always dry and will stick like crumbs on the fork. This is not how fresh cake cream behaves. They'll give their cakes different names which makes you think that you buy a big variety of slices but the cakes are all the same only on the top you'll find a Ferrero rocher or a kinder bueno and they will call it Ferrero rocher cake but inside is no rocher. So all cakes are at the end same only on the top you'll find something different so they can give their cakes different names to give you the illusion of a big variety. The worst cake I bough here was today, this is which made me come here to write a review. This was a red velvet cake. Dry, tasting literally like mould in every bite. Never ever will I step foot in one cake box ever again. Don't reply on brands because you know their name, once they become big they won't care about you and customer service nor the quality of the food anymore. This is the same with cake box. Better go and support smaller businesses which will take care of you and give you better quality because they know they need you and they have to make you come back.

Will not recommend especially if is a delivery. Not only staff but even manager is so rude that hanged the call on my face while I was asking her to help me out as I got delivered this damaged cake through uber eats.

They even gave free cupcake to my young daughter as she really wanted one but didn't have enough money on me to buy it for her...Really appreciated it, and thank you
