We approached the store very last minute for my son's 5th birthday cake, for approximately 50+ guests. Harry was absolutely amazing in creating a space themed cake, which not only looked fantastic but tasted absolutely delicious. Everyone commented on both the look and taste of the cake! The cake was value for money and Harry not only created our vision for the cake but exceeded our expectations. Fantastic customer service and gutted to be left with just the one slice! Will definitely be coming back for more and I'm sure others will be purchasing some yummy cakes.

Ordered a red velvet cake on Friday evening for next day collection. Shared a picture with them to ask for same decoration, was told that the piping will be different and icing roses will be used. On the day received pictures of the cake, did not resemble to the one requested at all (see the pictures below).When went to shop to collect, was told that they use cream cheese instead of fresh cream. The cake itself was very firm, did not taste fresh at all. Tasted exactly like red velvet from Costco (the large one you get for £12). Even Costco cake seems fresh than this one. Was charged £35 for 6inch cake including the charge for decoration.Was very disappointed with the decoration, and beyond disappointed with the taste, £35 gone to waste.If they were honest at first that they wouldn’t be able to make a fresh cake similar to the decor requested, and will use cream cheese, we would never have ordered in the first place.

Ordered a cake online paid the extra £10 delivery fee. Cake delivery slot was 11am to 4pm. Cake was delivered at 4:35pm. Anyhow thats not a big issue. The delivery driver which was a cab, so not delivered by in house delivery. Delivery man called me as he could not be bothered to come out of the car due to rain and pick the cake up outside a few doors down. Delivery charge is a surcharge as it is a door to door service however if the delivery driver does not want to get is hair wet he will make you come out. Please note this was a delivery to a house not a block of flats?! Anyway very bad service. Then the manager of ilford Paul's bakery ( will be known as Cake Co soon so be aware) calls me me up and trys to explain the situation that a third party is used for delivery. So i questioned this should be stated on your website as i would not trust a third party if it was my business. But the good part is cakes are very nice. Delivery and how managment deal with such situations is 0 star.

Always great service and good turnaround with writing messages on cakes. Very polite staff and always delicious cakes. Open till later than most others so very suitable for buying cakes on the day needed. Can also order by phone and collect at a later point, which is also a very handy option.

It's the first time ordering from here, first was I ordered from uber eats, I ordered an oreo cake, once I opened the box everything was a mess. The oreos was out of the box and the cream also. Second the cake was too dry. I'm so sorry to say this. I hope maybe next time I will get a better experience when ordering from you.

I had great experience with Paul's Bakery. A good place to place an order from overseas to greet your loved ones in UK. I sent cakes twice to my relatives in UK on birthdays and other such events and found them very professional and cooperative. Particularly a person named Mr. Abhi is amazing always who has very solution oriented approach to serve customers even who are sitting overseas to deal their orders with highly responsibility. Highly recommended!!!

I cannot explain how ecstatic I was when I saw my sons first birthday cake. I actually cried. It was soo beautiful and surpassed all my expectations. I went to Harry the evening before my sons party with no idea about the kind of cake I wanted. I had lots of pictures and a theme but was confused. Anyway after an hour and a half discussion (this was after many phone calls) and showing him pictures, he reassured me that he would make everything work and give me a cake better than the photos. And it really was. And the taste was gorgeous. The taste, the soft and fluffy texture - everything. And EVERYONE commented on how beautiful and tasty the cake was.Thank you very much for easing my anxiety and contributing to the success of the day.I would give 10 starts out of 5 if I could.
