Kebabs have really nice flavors and they are well marinated. I prefer their naan bread over the rice. The lamb curry was really delicious I couldn't get enough of it. Kind staff and the mocktails were so fresh and cool.

We visited Watan few weeks ago with friends. The environment of the restaurant is nice and pleasant.Service was very good, and our food came in right time. We ordered the Afghan Mixed grill, Chappli kebab, chicken karahi and few naans.Mixed Grill including Chops, boneless lamb, boneless chicken & mixed seekh kebabs topped with anaar and corriander laid on a large naan. It was well cooked and tender and juicy.Restaurant is bit busy usually there is waiting times around 20-30 minutes to get the tablePrices are bit high but it’s worthy to try.

I visit this restaurant sometimes. This time I visited with two of my friends. We ordered charsi chicken handi, daal, biryani and chapal kebab. The taste of all the things was very nice except the daal. The charsi handi was the best. The garlic naans were also very nice.In drink we ordered a jug of sweet lassi. It’s a bery heavy drink but it tasted very good.I always like their biryani, it has a very good taste. It was a good experience but whenever I go there I have to stand in a line. They don’t accept online booking so everyone has to stand in line. They need to improve this experience.Mostly I see families visiting it, people visit it from all over London.

I really like the Chicken Karahi & Kabul Rice, nice flavour in the Karahi. The Kabuli rice is really nice with sweet raisins. The food comes with frees salad, comprising carrots and cabbage.Restaurant is okay decor wise, not fancy. Service is efficient and the waiter tried to upsell.Free parking in Romford Rd. Been a few times, it’s a safe bet. Would recommend.Dietary restrictions: HalalParking: Bay parking, free for 1 hour, but ticket required.

I would not visit this restaurant again. It was really busy and they decided to bring our naan, without any curry, and when probed, they said it’s too busy so whatever comes out of the kitchen you have to take it then and there. Who is going to eat Naan on its own? You are paying for the food, it’s not like it’s free. The food quality was adequate. The chapali kebab wasn’t cooked properly. Staff were friendly. The atmosphere is horrible. It’s overly cramped because all those waiting surround your tables. The tables are small. You can’t hear yourself speak, it’s incredibly noisy, so I’d highly advise never to take family or friends here for a social. Prices are extortionate. The mixed grill was over £30 and didn’t really come with a large portion. The chapali kebab was awful and my family and I got an ‘upset’ stomach from it. I’d advise visiting the Southall branch as it’s much better tasting, has a lot of seating.

Food was a bit chewey and not spectacular for the mad prices wasnt cooked good enough, I bought the biggest mixed grill and it was almost scarce. The staff were friendly though, for the prices I would've expected a complimentary tea ? at the end at least.Mix grill was £54

Yesterday I visited this restaurant after watching a reel of chef that they cook Karahi purely in Pakistani/Aghani style. Because I was eating too much curries during last week so I decided to go for Bar B Q stuff which was surprisingly cooked on coal (Rare in UK). I ordered Malai Boti and Chapli kebeb with a big afghani naan. Food was very delicious, fresh, tender and hygienic. Specially everything was cooked in front of me due to their open kitchen. Service of Abdullah and his behavior was very good he was well aware of food menu, recipes and recommendations. Lastly one thing which I will recommend cleanliness and serving which can be improved because table was sticky toilet was also not too clean even hand wash tap was also not working properly. Overall it was a wonderful experience must visit to eat purely Desi Style, freshly cooked food with original recipes.

Had some amazing food with very helpful staff who accommodated me and my family for a birthday party (14 people) no reservation but still set up tables while we waited... Very busy restaurant so expect to wait a bit if you show up in the eveningThe Afghani food served here is very authentic and tastes amazing... Can even watch the chefs cooking through the glass wall which surrounded the kitchen.Dietary restrictions: Halal

20 mins wait time. Once we got in, their service, food and friendly staff is absolutely note worthy. Will highly recommend to anyone looking for Afghani cuisine. Tried their special mix platter, chapali kebab, butter chicken, achari kebab, with rice and naan, mango lassi for drink. Can't compliment enough how delicious food was ❤

A good place definitely but extremely busy. Easily 30 mins waiting time if you are a grp of 5+.We had Afghani special grill. 56£ suggest try mix grill which is much cheaper and contains more or less similar items of Afghani grill except rice.chicken or lamb Karahi is 27£ approx . Which is definitely worth trying.Naans are great.Certainly recommended.

Heard a lot of great things about this restaurant and finally visited with family and friends. It was better than expected.Amazing food with very generous portions. Buzzing atmosphere and attentive service.Afghani mixed grill for 2 was well seasoned and juicy. Lamb charsi was delicious and nicely spiced. We lived the mocktails, right amount of ice and great flavours. They don't take bookings so get there early. You won't be disappointed.Only restaurant I've been to where a beggar on the street asked for food from there rather than money.

The peshwari chicken is just awesome with great flavor and fresh roti is amazing. The chicken dum biryani is also good. They are very generous with the portions. The staff took wonderful care of us.For the children the fried chicken stripes are a must.

Came here for the first time today and had an amazing experience. The food was incredible. I do recommend increasing in size because of the demand as every family has to wait for atleast 30 minutes outside. However the food was outstanding and so was the service. Highly recommend.
