We ordered through the papa johns app, and waited over an hour for 2 pizzas to arrive and we called for an update on them and they said that due to no drivers being assigned none of the pizzas have been made. I don't personally blame the staff but the lack of care is absurd. If we didn't end up cancelling the order, I reckon we would've waited even longer.

After ordering pizza, pizza arrived 1,5 hour later, after order went through, and on top of everything guy called John, saying that he is the manager, every time when I called they said it’s on the way, on the way, but in the end, after hour and a half pizza arrived totally cold. Worst customer service ever, rude staff, and in the end of course I didn’t enjoy the pizza as it was cold just like weather right now in UK. Definitely will not order again from this brunch as people who are working there are definitely not up to any level of hospitality business. Disappointed, discussed and definitely they lost me as a customer.

I ordered pizza last night and I got delivered after 2h waiting.. I called them few times and they was very rude and unkind on phone line. Also manager refused to give me his name, he started to swear and scream on me and hang up my line twice!!!Pizza arrived very late and completely cold. Delivery driver didn’t know a work of English..He refused to take cold pizza back.So disappointed!!! Stay away from this place..

Papa John’s Kennington is open to 2am on Saturday morning. I placed an order at 1:19am and the app told me it had been cooked and was being checked before delivery. I waited until 1;50 am and as it had been at checking for 20 minutes I called the store to see if there was a problem. The guy told me they hadn’t started cooking it yet, and hadn’t called any drivers to see if they could deliver. He initially said they hadn’t started cooking as there were no drivers, but he then admitted they hadn’t tried to contact a driver. This isn’t the first time that store has blatantly lied; and on top of that orders have turned up wrong, cold and massively late (2hrs plus in the daytime) on many occasions. These same people have been running the Kennington franchise for years and they have always been dreadful - but the lying is the worst thing. If it’s 1:19am and you don’t want to / can’t / insert excuse here cook a customers order, is it too much to ask that you call the customer and tell them? Don’t leave them waiting for the best part of an hour until they have to call the store and then tell them you’ve done nothing with their order! Abysmal. Sadly Papa Johns won’t let you change to another store (elephant and castle is just around the corner so it’s not like they aren’t local) which really sucks. Clearly they don’t want any customers! Appalling service, but the worst thing is the lies and excuses. Avoid Papa John’s Kennington at all costs.

I'm editing this review back down to a 1 star. I tried to be nice by changing it to 5 stars after regional customer service tried to make it up but this location just can't help themselves but screw things up time after time.
All of the negative reviews are right. This place is terrible and run horribly. If you ever do receive your pizza the only thing you can be certain of is that it will be cold.
