One of my favourite pubs in London. The variety of drinks food and a very homely atmosphere makes it really attractive. It has got a garden in the front and a garden at the back. It also has an upstairs bar and dining area. However it can get very crowded.
A staple of Wanstead The George is a decent Witherspoons. If this place ever closes down it will be a sad loss.My last few visits have been pleasant enough with quick service and polite staff to match. Each time I have ordered food and it has arrived within a reasonable time frame. Part of the Weatherspoon chain. This is a reliable place. Loads of places to sit with a good offer selection of food. There is parking available and is conveniently located opposite Wanstead tube. Popular with families so does get busy as people try and make their food order with unusual amendments.
