Our hostess was Emma , and I felt sorry for her because of my problematic health condition, so it was everything difficult , starting from drink and finishing with food, but Emma raised to the challenge and was brilliant hostess. Lovely atmosphere, great food , nice and attentive staff... Well done , Toby's carvery!

Always eat at Toby Carvery in Snaresbrook but now totally understaffed so even though tables are available we are having to wait even to be seated.. it would be great if the management could staff the restaurant

Beware of hidden costs. No mention of a price on the menu for Pigs in blankets £3.99 and a large plate £1.99. The large plate includes 2 sausages, apparently. The only other way to get a sausage with your Chrismas meal is to get the Pigs in Blankets. 2 sausages from one large platter, shared between 4 people would be much better value than one portion of Pigs in Blankets. Otherwise, I enjoyed the roast and veg which was good value. It just really annoys me when prices aren't adequately displayed. While commenting - I found the custard a bit too sweet and couldn't taste the rhubarb in the crumble.Parking: No provision for cycle parking, which is a shame when they have such a large carpark and a lot ofoutside space

Use to be a great place, today 23/12/23 after. Along time I came for a carvery, they have became very petty with the amount of meat the cut , it is as thin as a paper , I asked the person and gave the most random answer saying is the rule, it is not like we are begging for meat, we are paying for it . Very bad

Went for Christmas dinner, and it was a lovely afternoon. Good food and brilliant happy staff, even though they had given up their Christmas day with their own families to be there, they were helpful, friendly and full off Christmas

Went for Xmas Dinner yesterday, after being left waiting by a senior member of staff for 20 mins, the wonderful Melody went above and beyond the call of duty for us. She really took care of me and my friend. Along with her cheery nature, nothing was ever a problem. A real credit to the team at Toby Carvery Snaresbrook. Will definitely be returning in the future. Have a lovely Xmas

I ordered a takeaway carvery . Cold rubbery potatoes and Yorkshire big dollop of horrid cold mashed potato. Sent a complaint. Got back halfhearted apology making excuses. I won’t be going back !! Sadly nor will many of my friends who were disappointed with lack of concern. Why mashed potato in a carvery ??! I suppose it makes it cheaper to produce.

Meat was delicious, maybe a little stingy. The vegetables not so good, they had no mash or cauliflower cheese and the other vegetables including the roasts were all dried out. Two of the desserts we ordered were meant to come with strawberries and when we asked was told if we had them then we would of put them on! Overall our visit was disappointing especially because it was a birthday meal.

It was very busy, but queue for food was good although all the gravy pots were empty. Polite, friendly waitress. Had a 50% of mains voucher so outstanding value for

The food was nice, I had the cheesy mushrooms to start which were delicious. The carvery was ok, good choice of meat and vegetables but the whole meal was barely warm. I like my meals to be hot.

Review Had a family gathering in remembrance of my grandad and I will say that was the best experience I’ve had at a toby carvery. All the staff were pleasant even though it was very busy enough food and they still have you their time our waiter was great keeping up- the bar staff was happy and cheery (can’t remember his name) and Stephiano the chief that night served us very well giving us his time and not just as another number. Attended mon 4th December Thank you!

Took my grandchildren for breakfast with Santa to Toby Carvery Watford Fabulous service, food excellent. Special thanks to Clare and Jessica who were helpful and very attentive. Would highly recommend it and will be booking again in 2024
