We were looking for a restaurant near the London Palladium and Aqua Nueva was a delightful discovery. The pre-theatre menu was ideal and every course was interesting and delicious. The staff were friendly and charming, the rooms were stylish, the views across London were great and the music and ambience were just right. We shall certainly be back.

I came here with a couple of friends for my cousin’s birthday, we all decided to take a seat on the bar. Saffron is absolutely top person and bartender, I’m so glad it was her that came to serve me. She made myself and two other friends amazing rum drinks of her choice as we asked her to surprise us. I trusted her enough to select some bar snacks she felt were best - the spread was perfect. Other than the great service, her personality is so refreshing, we all loved it. Amazing vibes, funny and down to earth. I really do hope she is recognised for the person and employee she is. I’ll be coming back just for her! Thank you Saffron

Wow! Once you get past the weird street level entrance deciding between Japanese and Spanish, Aqua Nuevo is amazing!!! Romantic candlelight tables and hip but quiet background music make for a wonderful format to enjoy some amazing interesting variations on Spanish Tapas and traditional fare. Great Papas Braves, interesting Azafran recipes, delicious Paella, and great desserts…Arroz con Leche with Azafran(!) and Roscon de Reyes were all amazing. Waitstaff was beyond attentive and welcoming. It was an evening to remember!

Still hungry and have a headache from poxy "music." Big hole in my pocket for minimal amount of food. Resturants for posers and people who are on a diet.

We were due at The Palladium for a matinee performance and decided to book Aqua Nueva. I have been to Aqua Kyoto many times, but fancied a change. The venue couldn't be closer to The Palladium - the entrance is basically opposite the entrance to The Palladium. And, even though the address states: Regent Street, the entrance is in Argyll Street. You enter the restaurant on the ground floor, but go up into a lift. Aqua Nueva is a very large restaurant. It has some great seating areas; some booths, and it is very classy. Because of the building being rather old, there aren't that many windows around, but it doesn't spoil the ambience! We were offered either a booth or a nice window table – both looked great. Our server, Maria, was terrific; helpful and professional and charming, and a delight to talk to. Having been given the menus, we asked for the pre-theatre menu, which was provided – great choice for us. If you're a big eater, you might want to order a couple of extra side dishes, but we were fine. The food was truly scrumptious - could not fault anything - loved it. I opted for the Rustic Tomato Bread, Iberico Ham Croquettes, Wild Mushrooms “guiso” and Hake a la “romana”. Everything was truly scrumptious. My husband chose the Chef’s Omelette, Black Seafood Croquettes, Gamba Red Prawns Rice Crisp and Slow Cooked Lamb. Again, everything was superb. The Prawn Rice Crisp was very delicate and not a very large portion, but still ........... divine! For pudding, my husband went for the Chocolate Churros, but my choice of Seasonal Fruit Salad with Mango, Passion Fruit Sauce, was a winner ……… of course, I had to share! Truly a wonderful experience – no complaints whatsoever. We were not rushed in any way - everything was perfect. Washed down with a bottle of Muga Blanco and with a service charge of 15%, our bill came to around £60 per person, but it was worth every penny. Again, so close to The Palladium. A great choice of restaurant. Cannot wait to return.

Came here for drinks and dinner with family. Really enjoyed the ambience and the quality of the food, however the portion sizes are for mice not humans! For £50 per head we didn't expect to have to go to Five Guys opposite the entrance straight after.

Had a lovely experience in the restaurant. Great food, wine, cocktails and service. We then moved to the rooftop bar where the service was nonexistent. Each time we wanted drinks we went inside ourselves to order from the bar. After the third time and an error by the barman, who really couldn't have cared less, I spoke to the more senior member of staff who had looked after us in the restaurant. All he kept saying was "but you had good service from me in the restaurant" as if we'd received our allocated quota of adequate service!!!! It's a shame as it was an experience of two halves, but the bar was so awful that we wouldn't return or recommend.

The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. It was a very quiet lunchtime so there wasnt the restaurant buzz to feel that comfortable congenial atmosphere .Sadly the food did not measure up .The tomato bread was disappointing as not anything out of the ordinary .The paella was flavoursome but we were advised there would be enough for 3 as it was very rich .The portion each amounted to 3 mouthfuls .This was to be a special birthday treat so am sad it was not to expectations .

A little while ago myself and an old friend came to catch up over drinks. It was busy and bar service only, we were greeted at the bar by a young lady with a smile. She very quickly served us and the drinks were made with love. As the friend I was with is a wheelchair user we asked if there were any low rise tables as we saw the booths were not very wheelchair accessible. She quickly stepped out of the bar and walked us to a lower table and even removed one of the chairs so my friend could put his wheelchair in the space with no hassle. Myself and my friend felt very comfortable and cared for straight away. These small efforts go a very long away, thank you to that young lady behind the bar!

I made a booking to have a couple of drinks at the Nueva Bar on Friday 27 October 2023 at 6p.m. It was a girls' night out with two of my friends. I had not previously visited the bar and was really looking forward to visiting and thought it could become a place I would visit regularly. Unfortunately, it was an awful experience and I will never be returning. The staff and customer service were atrocious. A damp squid has more charisma than the staff members we had to deal with that evening. One of them also made an error with the billing yet was totally unbothered and unapologetic about it all. When the bill came, we asked to split it three ways. One of us paid a third of the bill without issue. When it came to me and my other friend paying our third, the machine stopped working. The individual serving us left to obtain a different machine. Upon his return he unthinkingly split the bill in two (rather than a third), seemingly forgetting in the span of literally two minutes that he had already charged one of us. Unfortunately, we both paid without checking the amount and realizing that we had been overcharged. As luck would have it, just soon after we had paid a notification buzzed up on my Apple Watch notifying me that my card had been charged. I glanced down at it and saw an amount which alarmed me. It suddenly dawned on me what had happened. The server, too distracted and self-involved, had split the bill in two rather than a third. We immediately got up and went to the bar to rectify the issue. The individual who had served us was unmoved and expressionless. Another individual got involved to try and help us resolve. He, too, then became agitated and bothered for no good reason, as if we had caused the problem! He then finally refunded us the proportion we had overpaid, all haughty and condescending in the process. We then asked to speak to the manager. He again seemed irritated and stormed off. He reappeared and I asked where the manager was. He then went off again and then returned to say that he had contacted the manager but it would be "a while" before he would appear so it was up to us whether we wanted to wait (almost gleeful at the prospect). We had another commitment and so had to leave but I vowed I would write a review of my experience. Not only this, but the bar staff are utterly useless and incompetent at what should be their craft. I had ordered a mezcal negroni. The individual who took my order seemed momentarily confused but I figured once he communicated the order to the people actually making the cocktail, all would be well. The cocktail returned. It tasted nothing like a mezcal negroni (even now I have no idea what was in that drink), and it was packed with small ice cubes (any bartender worth his/her salt would (1) know what mezcal is(!) and (2) know that the type of ice you use in a negroni is incredibly important). I queried it with the individual who served us. He came back to say "this is how we do it". I was flabbergasted. A bar charging £18 for a cocktail could not even make a decent negroni. Wetherspoons would have done a better job. My friends' drinks were just as abysmal. One ordered a classic negroni and the other a passionfruit mojito. They were both disappointed. I was totally embarrassed, being the one who was responsible for organizing the evening and selecting that venue. Honestly, this place is NOT worth it. Save your money and go somewhere with staff who are not demeaning and condescending to their paying customers, and who can actually make cocktails as they should be made. AVOID!

The restaurant appreared HUGE to me, that said, the service was absolutely impeccable. Very attentive. We chose a selection of the Tapas, again, 10/10. There's some almighty talent in those kitchens! Not only beautifully presented, it was definitely a treat for the taste buds. Only downfall, for me? The music, whilst great selection, was just too loud for the dining area. Fabulous location, so lucky for a clear, mild evening for the roof garden!Dietary restrictions: We were asked before the order was taken about specific allergies. We had none so cannot comment further.

We are surprised that there were only three tables having dinner in this magnificiently tasty restaurant. The reason could be that the address of the place is wrong, it is not on Regent’s Street.
