This place scams you out of your food we ordered egg benedict which they didn't even use muffins. Also ordered a sucuk toast and they didn't even bother cutting the bread to but cheese or sucuk inside. With all these food items being reduced in your meal we paid £50

We had my son’s 18th birthday party in the basement at Babel and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Oz was professional and kind, he made sure everyone had a great time while keeping safe. Venues like this are really hard to find, reasonably priced and a great party space. We had food upstairs and it was delicious. Thanks

I came here for an open mic. I’ve been here before and remembered they did nice chips. The staff were friendly and the drinks menu had so many things on it! Nice variety to choose from! I went with Turkish tea. They also gave me little homemade biscuits which were soooo nice. Lovely place, will have to come back!

They have added an expensive service charge. A service charge is NOT LAW. We were bullied into paying a service charge which I refused to pay, and when I didn't pay it the owners daughter became VERY rude and with a bad attitude. I was shocked at her behaviour because we have been eating at the restaurant for years. She told me a service charge was law. We were long term customers at this restaurant from day one since it opened. We have supported the old owners who sold up a few years ago and the new owners we have supported them too. We would eat at the restaurant 3 to 4 times a week, spending at least £110 per week. Sometimes we would go there and bring friends on an evening. I told the owners daughter its not law to pay the service charge. By us paying this new service charge would add nearly £20 + more to our bill per week. The owners daughter told me we had to pay it and thats it. I respected the new owner a lot but for me this service charge is too much. Today I decided to ring the restaurant and speak with the owner. I explained all the above and she told me it's like this everywhere darling. I told her that for us the service charge is too much. She didn't take on board my concerns and didn't even care or at least compromise with me. I told her that we want to come there at eat breakfast and she told me we had to pay the service charge. The restaurant has now lost my partner and I and our friends as they also don't want to be bullied into paying a service charge.I'm really saddened that it's come to this as I thought been loyal customers they would take on board what I had explained but they simply don't care that they have lost us as customers, and four of our friends whom we would take there for dinner on an evening. The owner told me on the phone we could come to the restaurant but we HAVE TO PAY THE SERVICE CHARGE.There's now even a service charge on just having a coffee. It's unacceptable and ridiculous that they are forcing people to pay a service. As I said above, I am saddened that it has come to this. Nobody should be forced into paying a service charge.

This place is fantastic since new owners with new menu took over. Lovely tasty food, the large vegetarian meze has so many gorgeous dishes to try and very good coffee too. Reasonably priced as well, what's not to love?ETA - sad to say went today and bit disappointed. Very small portions for meze, left still feeling hungry. Service wasn't great either, no water despite us asking, also had to go and ask for small plates to eat our food. Could go better folks.
