Love Bambi - have been several times and the food, service and overall vibe has always been consistently top notch. The manager Sam is knowledgeable about the wines in house and plays a great DJ set too! Will definitely be coming back.

Great for a date night! Service was immaculate, staff so attentive and helpful in recommending incredible dishes. Was dreaming about the chicken for weeks. Great wine selection and v vibey spot

They clearly know how to create hype and a ‘vibey’ spot but food could use some work. Most plates overly salted, steak over cooked, ingredients don’t taste particularly fresh or high quality, cabbage was mushy. Wouldn’t go back. Expensive for the quality

This is a review for the Sunday Ling Ling’s Menu -

My partner and I honestly had some of the most exciting and wonderful plates of food we’ve had for a while.

Tapas style menu with generous portion sizes that will leave you wanting to order more. Not to forget a great organic wine list.

Still dreaming about the Chicken wings and Cauliflower.

100% will return for the new Sunday menu rotation and can’t recommend enough.

An absolute wonderful evening. Hosts were brilliant and the vibe is amazing a defo recommendation

A very intimate atmosphere, really enjoyed the interior of this space.

The food was overall delicious. However, would say the salt levels were slightly too high even for someone who enjoys salty food. Bread and butter were supeeeeerb! Also, the leek with labneh - loved!

They had a little plumbing incident, but things happen!

Top notch place for atmosphere and general vibe. There is a dj inside the place playing music which becomes louder later on at night. The restaurant becomes a bar. They remove tables and everything which I find super cool.
The food is good, you should order from 4 to 5 dishes for 2 people as portions are not too big and everything is to share. I love the asparagus and the chicken!
Desserts are also surprisingly good.

Simply put, the food does deliver given the prices they charge. We had 2 vegetarian small plates and 3 vegetarian large plates, some bread and 2 non-alcoholic drinks for £92 (incl. 12.5% service charge). The miso cabbage (large plate) and croquettes (small plate) were good, but nothing incredible; everything else lacked bold flavour, which I’d expect at this price.

The other frustrating thing was this place brands itself as a listening / HI-FI bar, but no one was actually spinning vinyl.

Think twice people.

Vegetarian options: 3 vegetarian small plates, vegetarian large plates.

Big fan of Bambi’s vinyl evenings in East. Very lovely crowd and staff, decent prices and all round good atmosphere. Need to come back to try the food too

Really delicious food and amazing menu, could have tried everything. Great wine choice too. Lovely ambience and music. The loos are in a really bad state though, we were the first evening sitting and they were dirty and blocked. The man that greeted us at the door was not friendly at all, our table waiter with glasses was a lot better though. Mixed feelings all in all!

The food was amazing and the whole vide just made it a great place to go. Cocktails were great too. The waitress that served us was engaging and a real asset to Bambi, nothing was too much bother

A real gem, I visited Bambi last night with a friend and this place definitely lived up to the hype!

We ordered 5 dishes between 2 of us and 2 cocktails each, bill came to £115 which I think is reasonable for the quality and service we received.

All of the dishes we tried were amazing plus came out very quickly and the cocktails were amazing, the Bambi martini is a must try! Staff were friendly and accommodating.

My only small critique was there was a bit of an unpleasant smell in the corridor where the toilets were, although strangely enough the toilets themselves were totally fine. It didn’t bother us too much and couldn’t be smelled from our seats.

Overall a great new addition to Hackney, I would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back! X

Beautiful food, drinks + atmosphere. Went with 6 people & was pleasantly surprised with the cost/time it took for food to arrive
