Service was very poor, food undercooked and chewy - restaurant staff seemed to have little care in customers and were just focused on getting people sat and dined quickly and out the door again. When given the bill the waiter had added a 12.5% tip without our permission - sometimes I’d be inclined to leave a tip for staff but not when it’s forced out of you. Extremely poor service and food. If you want quality Italian I’d suggest pizza express.

A deceivingly large restaurant, with some additional seating on an upper mezzanine area & a large downstairs area. Food & drink were decent & ideal for our pre show lunch situated just over the road.

Amazing service and recommendations from the woman who served us (Johanna I think was her name). We had the garlic flatbread which I loved then Margherita, calzone and carbonara which we shared and they were so delicious and good portions too. Desserts were also great and although we were full we shared the cheesecake and the cookie dough one. The staff made the experience a lot better as they were really welcoming and making sure we were enjoying the food.

Quick service, the food was served quickly and both the quality and quantity of the food were good. The staff is very kind and friendly. The ambience is also nice. Overall 5/5 stars.

We went in on the off chance and they found us a table even though it was really busy. The 2 waitresses were run off their feet but were friendly, polite and fast. Really good experience.

We booked an early table for tea before a westend show, we were so pleased we allowed a lot of time, as it took over 1 hour and 25 minutes to get our main courses, sadly we had to eat quickly and did not have time for a dessert. The restaurant appeared understaffed and the kitchen were unable to get orders out in a timely manner. Thankfully we were able to scan a QR code to pay our bill. The food was ok, however, our local branch of Bella Italia is far nicer and provides far better customer service. We will avoid this branch in future and would not recommend if you are hungry or in a hurry.

From the moment I walked in the place and went down to our table I new we would struggle for service as the place was busy with what looked like only one waiter on the downstairs section. A poor lady at the bar toiled desperately at the bar trying to keep up with the drinks. We ordered after about 25 minutes having asked a waitress directly. Our drinks order arrived after about 20 minutes. We had ordered garlic bread starters and when the y arrived I couldn’t believe the portion size. The main meals arrived a good 1.5 hours after we sat down and they were really disappointing. My wife’s mushroom pasta she said tasted like a pot noodle. The sauce was not rich and creamy but watery. A kids portion of spag Bol had just a drizzle of sauce. My calzone was the worst. Luke warm in the middle and the meatballs tasted like they were out of a packet. I did complain and got two meals knocked off. Still, I would have preferred full price and delicious food.

I would give no stars if I could. Absolutely dreadful experience, surly staff, below average food and a wait of one hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive. There are much better options nearby and would strongly advise others to go there instead.

Looking for a cozy place, we walked in for a snack but looking at the menu felt we had to try the pasta and pizza! And glad we did! Joanna helped us throughout with recommendations and made sure we enjoyed each dish and drinks we had.Loved the garlic flatbread she recommended! The carbonara and calzone were amazing and I was so full but couldn’t say no to the cookie dough dessert!Definitely will be back!

The food was excellent, but the service was poor. We'd booked a table at a certain time but had to wait outside for fifteen minutes before we could sit down. The service was appalling, although I didn't blame the staff. They were seriously understaffed. Two waiters in a large restaurant on Strand at 7pm in the run up to Christmas? They're having a laugh. It was chaotic. To pay, you were required to scan the QR code on a card on your table. It then asks for your table number, and you are expected to pay via digital means on your smartphone. I refused to do this for two reasons:1. It required me to enter my name and email address; and2. It had included the now ubiquitous 12.5% 'service charge' ('so we don't have to pay our staff a decent wage'), which was baked into the total and couldn't be removed.
