The food tasted great, but unfortunately a saucer of crispy rice cost £9. The cheapest thing was a couple mandolined slices of pickled veg and even that was a fiver. Spent 25 pound each and had to get another dinner on the way home. I work in a restaurant and know food costs, there's no justifying this though... £50 for street food is mad.

Wine was average - not a lot of choice. Staff were quite cold and unfriendly. We had 2 drinks each and went to the bar each time to order but were still charged a 12.5% service charge when we paid (again, at the bar), which was interesting. Only about 3 tables were filled so it wasn’t busy.

Excellent little gem in Brixton Market. Great wines and tasty food. Small but buzzing! Congrats to the chef and his Thai fusion dishes.

A beautiful little spot, nice vibe and very intimate. Wine and food was great, but portions are seriously small. We all got the set menu and left hungry.Would recommend for snacks but definitely not for a full dinner.

Paul Asher (aka Rice Paddy) is the Irish dream chef for East Asian food at this little Brixton gem till the end of January 2024. Don’t miss it !Vegetarian options: Get ready for a life changing experience. Till the end of January 2024 chef Paul Asher (aka Rice Paddy) will let you taste East Asian food as you would have it locally. Especially the Kohlrabi Som Tam is the best I had outside Thailand, but the Barbecued Pumpkin, the Aubergine, the Crispy Rice Salad… all of it was a culinary dream. Paul knows like no one else how to make you feel you are in East Asia with every bite. Ask for vegan and he’ll make it happen. Higly recommended.

Thai food residency was excellent, actually the food was quite a bit better than when we ate here previously (it was decent last time but the Thai food was excellent)

Great atmosphere, bartenders were climbing around like it was Coyote Ugly, but weren't super friendly. Had an amazing banana peanut dessert with white chocolate mousse, and a delicious banana daiquiri, but my partner got the most hideous mushroom cocktail, it was like something from a children's fairytale nightmare. Like a boozy stock? Why do they think it's okay to serve this to the public? We tried to send it back and asked them if they had actually tried it, to which they said it was good. It wasn't. It was rancid. Try and guess which one it was from the photo.

Incredible Thai food cooked by the talented chef called Paul. I’m gonna come back

Superb meal. Been meaning to come for ages, but with two young kids it’s taken a while. There was a Thai residency when we went and everything was sublime. Some of the dishes packed a serious punch Will 100% return.

We started with a variety of welcome cocktails including a strawberry infused Bloody Mary, Peach martinis, and saffron vermouth all made by Sharon, an in house mixologist.Starters consisted of shared plates of rye bread and estate dairy butter, grilled morteaux sausage with a pungent mustard, chicken girolle terrine, and the most decadent but simple mozzarella with fresh fig and elderflower vinegar. Each dish, especially the last, highlighted ingredients at their seasonal best.Oeil, along our server and sommelier Lewis, expertly paired 3 natural wines to go with the 9 course meal, ranging from an acidic Slovakian white to a rich Piedmontese red. In the end we ended up drinking 4 bottles, one being a gift on the house ?The wines complemented the mains: first cantabrian anchovies on toast drenched in butter; then a grilled mackerel on a bed of fermented tomato chutney, and finally a charcoal BBQ’d pork chop, swimming in its own jus alongside fermented apricot and frites. The chic atmosphere and flowing wine lended itself to a jovial night. We forgot about time and where we were, and just enjoyed the hospitality of Lewis and Sharon. We were all smiles when dessert came around, a light choux bun filled with custard and seasonal Victoria plum compote with a side of cheeky homemade meloncello.Shared amongst 7, the bill came to £84/person for the 9 course menu with many drinks, although you could certainly have a substantial meal here for quite a bit less and likely leave equally pleased.Bottle and Rye is truly a neighborhood restaurant. A place where the team gets to know you, where you see the food being cooked, hear it and smell it. Eating here felt like a conversation. In fact, the staff was constantly talking to us, taking care of us, and removing whatever barriers there were between host and guest. This is gem of a place and judging by the packed atmosphere on a Wednesday night, the neighbors certainly know it.

Amazing place. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, they have amazing cocktails and natural wines. The sharing plates are divine. Can’t recommend it more. Just go!!

If you are in the mood for some evening skin contact (of the wine kind), great food and friendly service then voila.Strong natural wine menu (or low intervention if feeling fancy) and fresh food (lots of vegetarian options) and good dessert are all to be found at Bottle + Rye.Just don’t go to the loo. There there’s other kinds of skin contact.

Be carefull as the Italian girl waitress just offer me a glass of red wine which was expired, was tasted fizzy and also the colour was not accurate. I told her that was strange and even like this she said was normal. I was charged 8£.I had diarrhea after that.

Cool spot in Brixton. The food was really good! We especially enjoyed the pork chop with pineapple salsa and the beetroot and ricotta. The wine is great and reasonably priced. Would recommend booking for indoors.

Had a lovely couple of glasses of wine here! Great wine list, lovely service and a good atmosphere. Recommend for a chilled night of wine and catching up with a friend, or a good date night as well.
