Update: now run by Portobello. I don't hugely recommend their own beers, but an extensive guest selection and changing cask lines. Food is good, and special offers during the week.Great no nonsense pub. Good beer and garden.Dog friendly ?

A great pub. Really nice place to be in. But what a shame totally over cooked, burned chicken burger. Maybe a one off but I’d be tempted to to drink then eat there again.

A lunchtime relaxing drink and a delicious snack for my wife and myself after a rather long walk alongside the local river. The tavern is conveniently close to Catford Bridge station. I highly recommend.
Love this place for me & Keahi for a quick pop in.They are super dog friendly and plenty times you get other doggo's inside who are regulars. Staff are friendly and quick with a fuss and a water bowl.The food is amazing. Large portions and they are great with accomodating dietary restrictions.Totally recommend the GF Haddock + chips & GF onion rings.As one of the few places in London that actually provides these scarce options, they are definitely some of the best; both in crispness of batter and size of portions offered.Pints on tap are a steal at £4 until 7pm in the week and in winter they have a hearty fire going. There's also heated outdoor seating on the deck in winter and an additional summer side garden area.

So much nicer than I remember it being. Newish owners are doing a great job. Good food, good selection of beers and nice staff. Well worth a visit.

The bar staff have an air of arrogance about them. Fake smiles, passive aggressive types. Additionally, they advertised on the menu meals at 14.50 then charged 15.50 and claimed the menus are not yet updated? When this was pointed out, they had a shrug of the shoulders. A lack of genuine pleasantries and manners in this place which is sad. I can only describe it as young entitled ladies who simply do not have a pleasant manner. The pub is overall a good pub and the prices and food were okay, hopefully management can implement some customer service training or get new staff!
