This spot has not left my mind since I returned from my trip to London two weeks ago, so I thought to leave a review for anyone finding places to eat good Pakistani food. This place became the highlight of my trip to London as I was craving some desi food which I am unable to get in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Me and my friend came to their branch in Ilford for dinner and were greeted very nicely by their staff. Their menu had a variety of options but we decided to go with their signature Naan along with their Sandwiches and of course Tea. The bill came out to be a lot cheaper than I expected given that we were in London so I was happy to see that they have taken an initiative to serve desi food at such an affordable price in a place where this food is considered as a delicacy. Coming to the food itself, sorry I did not take any food photos, as I was extremely hungry and boy their food did not disappoint. It immediately took me back to Lahore and that is a huge compliment. Especially I got to give credit to their restaurant manager, Hamza, who I believe was so humble and checked up on us and other customers regarding the food and whether we wanted anything else. Overall it was an amazing experience and I look forward to coming back on my next trip to London. Cheers.

Ok food. Staff need to be more professional. I had some food here today. It took a while to make. It’s clear that they aren’t well enough staffed. The lady serving me when I arrived was on what seemed like a personal phone call. Took a long time for her to finish regardless of her seeing that I was waiting. The food when it arrived was lukewarm and at best ok. A request for tap water was declined. An effort to buy some chilli sauce was declined as they told me I could pay cash only. Didn’t make sense to me. Overall the food is ok but the place isn’t particularly welcoming.

I had the unfortunate experience of eating at naan staap. I ordered a club sandwich and was disappointed by a chain of events detailed below as well as the food quality. 1) The restaurant at Walthamstow offers card payments though I was specifically asked if I could pay cash, reasons for which still bemuses me. 2) Upon agreeing to pay cash it was disappointing that the person at the payment counter had the audacity to admit he didn't have change and played down not providing me the appropriate change in return, on a customer facing and service driven business this is certainly not an implied part of dealing and neither does this bode well for the overall customer experience. At this point in time I was left flabbergasted as it had never happened to me before. 3) At the counter I was asked that my club sandwich comes with regular chips and should I choose I can go for masala chips, which I agreed to, at this point in time I was not aware there was an additional charge for this. This was yet again another unfortunate experience, generally as part of honest business practice one would expect the additional charge be mentioned upfront, charging for sprinkling 2 spice mixes on your chips is rather excessive let alone, when one doesn't know this attracts an additional charge. The principle as opposed to cost in this scenario is imperative and as a customer the interaction left me with a bad taste in my mouth. 4) If the above mentioned issues weren't enough I searched for solace in the fact that at least the food might match the ambiance of the restaurant. Regrettably I was once again left disappointed, the "club sandwich" I ordered was more a "Chicken and Mayo" sandwich. The chicken pieces were few and far between and was generally just lettuce and tomato drenched in Mayo. Generally with a club sandwich it has 3 layers which this did have but every layer was chicken and Mayo as opposed to 3 types of meat. I think this place needs a 101 on not only how to interact with customers but also what the meaning of items they offer actually are. I would not recommend this place to any one.

i ordered paya through uber eats around 9:50 a.m and at 10:50 they rung to say they don’t have the item i ordered. i have been kept in waiting for an hour unnecessarily. they should have informed rightway after getting the order that they don’t have it. really unprofessional

It’s Ramadan, I booked for 12 people to have ifter/ break fasting together. When we all went there, management said we don’t have any booking, then as an evidence I told them what time and when they spoke to me over the phone , then guy was said sorry to me that he mistakenly put someone else in our booking. My point is how do you organise booking systems. It was annoying nightmare after whole day fasting, it was more annoying when manager or the guy keep saying that he will manage for sitting, he is trying to put us after ifter I believe which would have been totally unfair, however, after worse experience, we 12 people all have decided that never will visit there also all our family , friends will know that unprofessional booking systems.

Worst haleem and the naan roti were bought from sainsburys I think they were cold. These people are running a restaurant and don't even have the minimum courtesy to speak to a customer.

I went here for the first time and had amazing aloo chop and piazu. There karak chai is absolutely amazing and has heating inside to keep you warm. The environment is lovely and has lots of decorations and staff was very welcoming.

Ordered via uber eats. Very basic taste and not enough meat in the chicken biryani. It was on 1-1 offer in ubereats. If not, the quantity and quality per chicken biryani at £8 is not worth it.

DIPTI RATNAPARKHI

Quality food at a reasonable price. We tried breakfast and continued with the weekly meal deal.
