We a group of people, we booked for dinner and pay deposit before we arrived, however, they prepare a set menu only for a few different courses instead of a menu that we can choose ourselves. The restaurant is super tiny, I think the chef is not enough, they serve food so slow, we've only order two starters and steak, takes about almost 2 hours. And the price it's not even match the quality.

Great presentation with lots of complementary dishes outside of my orders, including a bread basket with yeast butter and salted butter, a fish cake, and raspberry mousse. I ordered lobster ravioli, short rib beef, mashed potatoes, and baked cheesecake.I found the gravy for the short rib and mashed potatoes to be too sweet and difficult to stomach, but the rest of the food was incredible. The restaurant is extremely upscale and classy with a vintage, almost Victorian feel to it.It's located within a fancy hotel where you are greeted by butlers and all the staff are in uniforms or suits, so keep that in mind - I'm not sure how kid-friendly this place is, and it leans heavily into classic over modern. I would only go here for very important occasions, perhaps Christmas dinner with the parents or grandparents.Service was incredible - friendly, always on top of everything, and I never had to wait. The dishes came out quickly, with lovely plating. The meal came out to £120 for one, and I think that if it's in your range, it's worth a visit.

The food was incredibly average for the price and the atmosphere was quite stuffy. The service was excellent though.

Absolutely the best service! Dover sole was divine and Mrs T Chicken Pot pie was so delicious. Sensational cocktails from Antonio, too.

Fantastic food, amazingly unique ambience with a rich history, super helpful, knowledgeable staff. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and was exquisite. We would highly recommend to any other guest. ?

Three grand Victorian townhouses opened up and converted into a hotel in 1922 recently restored to a very high standard. The exquisitely appointed, dimly-lit restaurant is tucked away at the back of the ground floor. The playlist consists of Jazz Age standards. The raviolo was a bit chewy; the chicken pot pie rather watery; and the millefeuille impeccably presented, but impossible to dissect without a surgical scalpel. Service was supercilious and slow. Prices astronomical. Fellow diners all American - all hotel residents. Overall, a not unpleasant, if slightly odd and very expensive experience.

We spent Easter Sunday at the restaurant and had an unforgettable time. Leo was a fantastic host and the food exceptional. A very special experience.

I do NOT enjoy writing negative reviews. I love writing positive reviews, but I made a reservation yesterday for tea today and canceled as soon as I I knew that friends would be back and available earlier than thought. I called early afternoon today hoping that I might be able to dine in the lovely Milestone lounge for lunch. The very polite woman who answered said that she would check with the dining staff. She did and advised that being at the hotel in 20 minutes would work for me to sit in the lounge for lunch. I arrived at the hotel exactly 20 minutes later. The woman with the reservations book said that she could not find my name and that I would need to sit in the lobby which I did. The same woman came to retrieve me. I asked where she was leading me and she said to the hotel bar. I explained that I did not like to sit in the hotel bar as it is dark and I explained exactly what had been said to me on the phone. A tall man with blondish grey hair then advised in a less than kind voice that there were tea reservations in the lounge at this time. I then advised him also of the information I had been told by phone. He then asked at exactly 1330 if I could be finished with lunch in one hour. I advised that I could be finished in one hour. The same man then asked in a less kind tone if I was certain that I could be finished in one hour. I advised at this time that I was not comfortable eating lunch at the hotel and was departing. I also advised that I has been treated rudely and that I was embarrassed. I did call after departing and spoke to the hotel front desk manager Tom and again explained all of the details above and advised that I wanted him to know these details in hopes that another hotel guest would not be treated in the same manner in the future. The hotel manager then advised that he understood I had been offered a seat in the bar. I then advised that I would again go through the details above which I did. The hotel manager then advised that he needed to confer with his staff as to the facts and that if I would leave my information that I could receive a call "tomorrow." I then advised the hotel manager that I did not need a call. I also advised that my previous experience as a hotel overnight guest at The Milestone had been very good but, that I would not be staying at the hotel in the future. I am very grateful that I have the impeccable Covent Garden Hotel and the elegant Mandarin to stay with during future visits to London.
