Great little find! I called quite late and the friendly guy said they could fit me in, travelling on my own for work so I Just fancied a quick bite before bed, what a gem! I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all, actually the opposite, the manager was really friendly and really looked after me, food was fabulous (nicest fish in ages!) and a lovely espresso martini ? I rarely, if ever, visit London but if I come back to the city I’ll be back here for sure!

Wow what a gem! I had read some reviews and decided to book a dinner for a reunion with old friends. Absolutely perfect atmosphere, not too loud so we could catch up but definitely a fun vibe. Delish cocktails - and the risotto was fantastic. Thanks so much to all the team, we will be back! Vicki

We hosted my wife's 40th downstairs at The Cleveland Arms and everything was brilliant. The pub is beautiful and has a great atmosphere, plus the food was delicious (we'd eaten at the pub a few months before the party and the food was amazing then as well). All the staff were so helpful and accomodating with our big group and made sure we all had a fantastic night. It was so easy organising it with the team, I can't thank them enough for making it a night to remember. THANK YOU!

I booked Sunday roast for 6 friends. We had a fabulous time. The food was incredible. We were all impressed with quality and portions are very generous ! A wonderful ambience. The pub itself is very cosy and welcoming. The staff are very attentive. Special thanks to Valentino and Brian. We shall return as most of us reside locally. Many thanks

We chose this pub for its proximity to Paddington Station; somewhere to meet our daughters for a Sunday lunch when we travelled in from Oxfordshire. It was a real gem. We'd pre-ordered our roasts and sampled the beef, chicken and the veggie option. Rave reviews all round, the vegetables were full of flavour, really good gravy and delicious roast potatoes. This was followed up by sticky toffee puddings which were equally good. It was a perfect cosy place for a cold, autumn day.

I came here a few months ago with my friend, originally to have a couple of drinks and head off somewhere else but we ended up staying for most of the evening! The service was great, our snacks came out really quickly (and tasty too), lovely atmosphere and we were asked/allowed to make requests for the music being played which we really appreciated. All the staff are friendly & chatty; will be returning next time I’m in the area!

I went with a table of friends on a Friday evening and my two Labradors. I cannot express enough how exceptional the manager was and how is team emulated him. It is so rare to see and is a real credit to this gem of a find. We had a range of starters and mains and we all enjoyed what we had. Well done to the whole team. If I lived locally I would most certainly be back more often.

Myself and my daughter have just been for a meal this evening. Food was excellent service was super friendly and fast. Rang up on the off chance as we where staying in the area booked straight in at 8pm. Lovely little place with a quirky vibe and decor nice and intime. We had the beef and duck which where both mouth wateringly delicious! To finish off sticky toffee pudding which was even better. What a hidden little gem ?

Super find. We went to celebrate our daughter's birthday with a Sunday lunch with grandparents too. Decor was lovely and inviting. Food was very very good and staff very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Prices very reasonable. A really lovely way to spend a Sunday lunchtime. Thanks to the team for making our visit so memorable.

Three of our group of eleven had the roast pork, all three were very unwell through out the night into the next day. We alerted the Cleveland but received a very cavalier reply saying ‘the meat was fresh’ it clearly was not.

The pub location and decor are all sound. We had dinner over the king's coronation weekend and were lucky to get a booking in. I had the pork belly roast and my wife had the vegetarian cauliflower option. Food arrived quickly and wow the food was top notch! One of the best roast dinners I have eaten. I could spend the rest or this review space talking about gravy, so I will try to be succinct. It was THE best gravy I have ever had. Really brought back memories of my youth. My grandparents were from further north and would really make a thing about gravy. I had completely forgotten how tasty and rich it could be when done right. Those that know this will understand. Those that don't.. Well go book a Sunday roast at the Cleveland Arms and find out!!

First visit to this pub for a Family Sunday Roast. We were welcomed by friendly staff and directed downstairs to our pre-booked table. Had starters comprising of hummus served with cold pitta bread - not good at all – in fact it was terrible. The mushroom starter though was good. I had the Roast Beef. When served it did look promising but I’m afraid it was sparse and it did not justify the cost. The beef was of good quality but not enough of it. There were no trusty wholesome roast potatoes with that crunch, but miniscule roasts that appeared not to be fresh and had that familiar (in my opinion) the day before taste. Very poor indeed. The Yorkshire Pudding was not that much better either this also did not appear fresh when served and the entire lunch was lukewarm to room temperature, not the way to serve a Sunday Roast. To conclude the lunch, I had Bramley Apple Crumble and Ice Cream. The tart apples were undercooked topped with a very fine powdery crumble mix. The only good aspect of this dessert was the ice cream. How can one not make a good apple crumble I ask. This place did look promising to have a good Sunday lunch but turned out to be somewhat disappointing!!

Unfortunately it was disappointing. The starters : Hummus starter was just a smear and small bits of pitta accompanied it. The fried calamari was a ridiculous small sized portion. For £9 you got 3 tiny cut rings within the lettuce leaves. Bravette steaks were asked for med rare but came medium to well. Sauce was okay but not especially good and poured all over the meat. 2 in the group had duck and this was okay. Very quiet and dismal in the basement. Better atmosphere on ground floor. Would return for a drink but not to eat.

Great food and atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent wine and beer list. Would recommend coming here for anyone staying near Paddington. A cut above the regular eats in the area.
