We used to love coming here for a Sunday roast but our visit this time was really disappointing and we won't be going back. Roast dinner consisted of three small potatoes, a huge pile of cabbage, one tiny piece of carrot, one piece of parsnip and a single slice of beef. Not only was the portion tiny, it was cold. Shouldn't have to ask for cutlery or salt and pepper whilst your dinner sits getting even colder and when we complained about the meagre amount of beef we were told it depends on how the chef cuts it - which is fair comment if you get a thick, large piece of beef but we all had a thin small piece each. Such a shame as it used to be our first choice for Sunday lunch. We'll be going to one of the other many pubs in Greenwich next time.

Great spot for people watching. Lovely friendly atmosphere and wonderful lunch. Had the dog with us and it’s his favourite place!

Usually, I have coffee here, which is invariably superb. Haven't eaten here, but the Sunday roast looked impressive. Beer is okay, though it was one of the first out in the session. Will always come back for the coffee, though.

Sunday lunch-chicken version, my daughter said was very good. I had nut roast option. The nut roast dinner was not hot enough and the nut roast was very salty. The vegetables were very nice. Visited the ladies loos; very smelly and in need of both a clean (dirty toilet seats, overflowing sanibin) and a thorough top to bottom spring clean. Mentioned to a member of the staff- did not see any sign of action being taken before we left. The loos would put me off returning.

Scarlett remembered my order after only one round (that my friend bought!). She was very friendly, warm and welcoming. It makes all difference when you’re made to feel a little special so thank you to her. I will come back with other friends because of her.

We went to Greenwich Market today and while the street food offerings looked delicious, we decided to sit at a table and chose the Coach & Horses pub in the market. I ordered a 'pint of prawns' with sour dough bread and was absolutely stunned when the so called 'pint of prawns' were 5 unpeeled prawns (which didn't taste freshly cooked) which sat on top of a pile of lettuce in a pint glass. People, this is not a Pint of Prawns, it's five tasteless prawns sitting in lettuce in a pint glass. And they charge you an outrageous £10 for this - without offering a water bowl so you can wash your hands after peeling the prawns yourself. Mucky. the picture shows you how much lettuce was stuffed into the pint glass - advertising standards would question your description of the dish. I recommend you eat anywhere else in Greenwich Market, lots of choice and not this rip off third rate pub.

Lovely pub in the Greenwich market. I had lunch with my family and we all had fish and chips which was delicious!Nice selection of beers and a nice outdoor space.

Great place if you're into food poisoning. Went there yesterday and had the fish and chips and padron peppers. Came back home with a strong case of food poisoning.

When asking for a bottle of their house rose wine I was presented with their second most expensive bottle of rose - out of SIX options. When I questioned this situation I was told, this WAS their ‘house’ rose. To me this is a simple con; and blatant sharp practice, to rip off tourists and other unsuspecting customers, who at the very least would expect a ‘house’ wine to be one of least expensive options, if not THE least expensive option. This was a very unsavoury experience in a local pub I usually enjoy visiting. Having experienced similar ludicrous pricing behaviour at other establishments recently (15% automatic service charge when you have been forced to order through an app yourself) I wonder if the hospitality industry has just forgotten what the word ‘hospitality’ means? It’s just another example of the Zedders wanting something for nothing.

Thanks to Alice and her team for looking after us on Saturday 16th July. They did a fantastic job and made my aunt very happy on her special day (80th birthday). The food, service and atmosphere was great and the venue is very dog friendly.

Went on a Saturday lunch. Ordered sausage and mash and the lamb chop, approx £37 for the two. Service was slow and when our food arrived it was poor. Undercooked and lacked seasoning / flavour. Discussed it with the bar staff but unfortunately no one was willing / able to address it. Shame as the pub itself seems nice. If passing have a drink but wouldn’t recommend the food - or at least not the dishes we ordered

Don't take the table by the toilets... friendly staff. Clean authentic pub with an authentic stink of urinals when the door to the toilet opens. In the 2 hours I was there a member of staff cleaned the toilets three times- which is more than commendable seeing as the average user leaves more on the floor than in the bowl. Airfreshener or an extractor fan and that fifth star will be yours.

Based right inside the covered market in Greenwich. Has a variety of decent pub food. Always busy during the market day but quietens down at night for a drink and food. Seating inside or outdoors under the Greenwich Market eaves.
