It was truly humiliating. We spent approximately £7000 on a two-day event for 80 people, everything went terribly wrong. The food was a disaster, and the catering staff served tap water instead of the expensive branded bottled water we had paid £4 per liter for. Three of our guests suffered from food poisoning. The caterer's incompetence left us feeling deeply embarrassed in front of our esteemed high-profile guests. In hindsight, it would have been more cost-effective to rent a prestigious 5-star hotel on Park Lane rather than endure this miserable experience. We have taken action by reporting the caterer to the authorities and are now awaiting their response. The caterer responded by claiming that they ran out of water and resorted to serving tap water without informing us. We discovered this on our own due to the noticeable difference in taste and smell. It's important to note that only 50 out of the expected 80 guests attended the event.

The North Lodge Cafe is a restful and calm place to pass some time alone or with a friend. Excellent staff, good coffee and cakes and variety of produce to buy including breakfast cereal. Some savoury pastries including vegetarian options. Good daily menu options. However i do not recommend the sandwiches which are kept for 4 days after making up. (unlike Pret a Manger who make fresh sandwiches daily) However, the kind hearted and cheerfully efficient staff are always so nice to see. Nobody could do the job better than this team. Well done Brian and John and co!
