This place is okay, I don't think it's worth the long wait outside. I particularly don't like that it's cash only even though I think they used to take credit cards. If you're not already in the area, I don't think it's worth the trek with all the other options in the city.

Having lived in Hong Kong for over 3yrs, my wife and I are always on the look for authentic DimSum. Well tonight we got really lucky and this place is the real authentic deal. The duck and the dumplings were amazing! The only reason I didn’t rate a 5 was due to queuing 30mins in the cold and there is very little seating space. Other than that I can’t wait to come back soon.

It’s more of an insta crowd phenomenon then anything else really Long queue cos barely larger than a living room.. so fills up in minutes .. some dishes admittedly uncommon ( razor clams ) But the rest is no better then a decent Chinatown / central london place At times staff seem to be proud of long waiting time … as if a hallmark of success ! Minuscule tables for 2 … so don’t get over enthusiastic with order . It will get uncomfortable fast Decent cheung feung / and dumplings .. rest alright

The BBQ pork (char siu) here is no joke, it is so good and it is even better than some of the most popular Chinese restaurants in London. I thoroughly enjoyed my bean sprouts and other dim sums.I came here particularly for the Xiao Lung Bao though, and unfortunately that did not live up to the hype. It was thickly skinned and the pork flavour was very dominant, which is unfortunately not my personal preference.Service was kinda meh, I felt rushed even though I went at 3, so the place was quieter than usual. We were asked to sit outside in a gazebo even though there were tables inside without being given any explanation, while some new guests who came after sat inside.

A tiny authentic Cantonese restaurant near Kings Cross where you can have a taste of Hong Kong. I arrived just before 9pm and there was still a line. I ended up ordering the beef stir fried noodles and a home made soup to go. It was an 8-min walk back to my Airbnb but I could still taste the "wok air" when I opened the container. They don't take reservations so expect to wait during peak hours. Enjoy!

Wonderful food, worth the wait. I've been twice now and recommend the aubergine with rice, dried spare ribs, char siu buns ( although these weren't as good as the old CCK, not much filling). roast duck and prawn dumplings. On a previous trip we also had turnip cakes but they weren't to our taste (still you have to try different things) . I can't fault it, apart from having to queue!

The best Hong Kong style dim sum in London!Reasonably priced and with quite large portions, Dim Sum Duck offers classic dim sum dishes, noodles, rice, congee, vegetable sides and more. This is a small “mom and pop” business that does not take reservations. It’s a no frills, classic Chinese style restaurant.Be prepared to wait in the queue. It’s totally worth it.?

Don’t let any negative reviews of this place stop you from going. I’m glad this place isn’t “known” to the public yet, emphasis on the yet. This without a doubt blows every Chinese/dim sum place i’ve ever had out of the water. To give some context, i’m from San Francisco and we have really good dim sum but man, ever since leaving London in may i’ve thought about it ever since. I recommend this place to every friend that mentions going to London and i’ve never had a bad follow up message. The only downside to this place is the limited space/seating so if you go around the time everyone else goes for dinner you will be waiting in line as there’s no waiting list or reservations, I definitely recommend going at whatever you think is an “odd” time to make sure your wait is limited. Again, the food is spectacular and is fairly priced, unlike Din Tai Fung. 10/10 Recommend

We went there as part of our daughter’s birthday celebration at friend’s recommendation. We arrived at least 40 minutes earlier to queue, which we did not mind. The restaurant staff, especially the owner of restaurant, were unfriendly and rude as well as impatient. not empathetic by forcing queuing customers waiting in the Sun of over 30 degree. despite the fact that one of customer told them she had skin cancer! As someone from Hong Kong the food was mediocre . Completely disastrous experience.., totally not worth the hassle. never ever go back to this place!!!

Best dim sum in London! Waited about an hour in the queue but worth the wait. I can confidently say that I would order everything we had again. The standout items were the French beans with minced pork, the pan-fried duck buns, the shrimp/chive dumplings, and the salted egg yolk buns were a slam dunk. This is the type of place I would bring my Asian parents (IYKYK). The staff were so friendly but most of all efficient! Will definitely come back.

A one star review to match they’re ONE STAR HYGIENE RATING. Queued over half an hour to be greeted with raw prawns and hostile service when we tried to tell them. If people knew how unhygienic this place was surely they wouldn’t go…avoid at all costs.

Dim sum here was very tasty; plump in size and delicious. Lemon ice tea was very good. Small restaurant so best to get there early to beat the queue or start queuing early.

In an obscure location close to King Cross station a crowd gathers before the 6pm opening time. It seems this is the place to go for good dim sum and quality roasted meats. I was pleasantly surprised. Tiny restaurant which meant a longer wait unless you arrive early..good quality food. Had prawn and chive dumpling, beef Cheung fun, roasted duck and char Siu rice, beef brisket curry rice.. and veg. All pretty good fair..

I would say the dim sum this restaurant offers is very high quality, it’s definitely the best in London, if not the UK. It’s even better than most Hong Kong yum cha places ?The hagau (prawn dumpling) is full of freshly prepared prawns and I’ve never seen such a big hagau before. The tofu stew was also really tasty, the tofu was silky soft while still retaining some of the fried umami taste.I do have to say the service is not for everyone (expect the Hong Kong style efficiency and bluntness) and there’s always a long queue. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes, normally the wait is 1-2 hours. The restaurant doesn’t offer a lot of spaces so the place is quite crowded. May not be the place for big groups or people who prefer to have more leg room. However, personally the food is definitely worth the wait.

So worth the 5 star reviews. We got the xiao long bao, prawn and bean curd cheung fun, prawn and chive dumpling, quarter roast duck, choi sum and salted yolk buns. Everything was delicious, flavours were authentic and service was quick. The salted egg yolk were the best I’ve had.To avoid the queue, make sure to get there 30 minutes before opening. Will definitely be going back to try the other dishes!
