This is a rather racist place. As a minority, I was just ignored by their staff members. They skipped me and served the next customer. Such microaggression has happened in several Gail's shops I've been to. Would never visit this brand anymore.

Great selection of breads and pastries. Recommend the cheese and ham croissant, chai latte and bread. I asked what syrups they had for coffee which he replied none. I then asked for agave in which he said they had.. bit misleading and not very helpful. Little on the pricey side, especially to eat in.

Food is quite good however every time I have gone in it felt like the staff were irritated and judgemental. I always approach them in a friendly manner and they act annoyed or cold. Really weird vibe and I’m very confused by their behaviour. Maybe management needs to create a more rewarding environment for their staff, so they can be motivated to be nicer. It’s a shame because it could be a lovely place but this behaviour has put quite a few people off.

Don’t take cash. And forcefully not. Almost as if I had insulted them by suggesting such a thing. And then the card machine didn’t work. Funny thing, I’ve never had a tenner “not work”. And I see I was not the only one who did this. Ho hum

Today 30 of October about 4:30pm I have been served by really unhappy lady who looked at me up and down and made sure I feel like I was on the wrong place, I told her what I wanted she gives me the wrong thing and turned the yes to change for the right item and refund me, after that she looked at the the other side of the table and said everything is there, so I picked up my tea and food then realised she didn’t give me a napkin, I asked for some and she give many napkins I almost couldn’t hold. I just want tell how I feel about it and let you know doesn’t matter how I am dressed if I’m there is because I can pay for the service and the food, I live around there so I don’t need have my best clothes to have my tea.

I love this Gail’s, always have full display and lovely food options to choose. Staff it’s really friendly, I was surprised when I read some bad comments about staff, I usually come in the mornings before going to the office and the staff and the girl who is usually at the conter are very friendly and welcoming all the time. I love to start my day with gails coffee and one of the lovely pastry options. Thanks Gail’s Belsize

Terrible customer service. The staff couldn’t care less. Can’t even make a proper porridge. I ordered a blueberry porridge to go. There was no blueberry, no toppings. I just got plain porridge. Very disappointing.
