This branch of GAIL'S is not as great as other branches I have been to. Coffee is decent and you get the usual GAIL'S food options, but I found something off about the way the coffee was served (almost as if the server didn't want to prepare the coffee) and the focaccia sandwich we bought was dripping with oil at the bottom. Never seen this in other branches. Hope it gets addressed soon.

Their scone was very good, but we came there for Breakfast and their menu. Turned out this location did not have what it said online or through Google, so the breakfast we wanted we had to take elsewhere. Im sure their baked goods are great, but it didnt meet the expectation of what we went to get there.

Dirty and badly organised place. The girl that made us a tea and a coffee gave us filthy cups. When I politely asked for another one, she said it was just stained (but it was dirty with previous coffee or tea marks), she then slapped the dirty one back on top of the coffee machine (probably she will give it to the next customer). Then, she took another one and with the nails she tried to remove probably another stain from the inside (that was disgusting) and after doing that she gave it to me!!! Of course I told her to please give me another one as she has inserted her fingers and removed something with her nails (this is totally unhygienic in my opinion). She said again that it was just stained but luckily she gave me a third one which looked a bit better. On top of that, despite of my thank you, she turned around completely ignoring me.I've been to a number of Gail's Bakery and have never felt so let down. The tables and floor were full of left over dirty dishes, crumbs and napkins from previous customers.The pictures attached show how dirty everything was! There were even cobwebs and spiders!! Totally unhygienic!Won't be coming back! I’m very disappointed!

I have been a fan of Gail’s over the years but today will be my final visit to the bakery. Their employees are unwelcoming, unpleasant and customer service is awful. I waited patiently in the queue to be served for over 10 mins and was ignored whilst the girls serving allowed people to skip the queue and did not seem to care or do anything to address the queue jumping. When I raised this to the staff, I was provided with an extremely dirty look from one of the servers and she was dismissive.Prices are also very expensive for the quality of the pastries so not worth the money.

Excellent bakery and coffee shop - with enough space for one to take a break from the humdrum of life and enjoy a cup of coffee.
I have been a big fan of Gail’s over the years. Everything is so delicious. However their customer service is awful. Employees are unwelcoming and not pleasant. I ordered 4 borekitas for take away and when I got home I noticed i did not received my borekitas but something completely different. This isn’t the first time this happens. Very disappointing.

I went to this bakery this morning (around 8.30am Sunday 17 Sept) , bought 4 almond croissants to take away. I was a bit perplexed when the lady customer service took the almond croissants from the shelf on the wall rather than from the trays right in front of me at the counter. I didn’t think too much about that until when I got home and we started to open the bags of almond croissants for breakfast. Gosh and behold the almond croissants were stales. I suspect these must be left over from yesterday. Very very disappointed as I have been buying so many times from this store and all the times the almond croissants were freshly baked. Really really horrified to have this very unpleasant experience. I hope the management put in some quality control before spoiling Gail’s good reputation.

Poor service. The staff lacked basic competency. Got payment with my card mixed up in the card reader, had to refund me and charge me again needing help to do it, taking ten minutes. Some female staff, with the exception of one, were cold and lazy and more interested in being looked at by customers than doing their job properly (wandering around in the seating area staring at their phones while tables and the floor badly needed clearing). The food and coffee are admittedly usually good at Gail's. But the overall experience and quality of service at St John's Wood branch is poor. I will not be returning.
