I have been to this restaurant many times, and it has always been really good. Yesterday night however I had a very meh experience. Particularly not impresses with my husband's pork main- overseasoned and not cooked properly - and the chocolate mousses dessert - a total mess in terms of presentation and a pile up of flavours that could not possibly marry each other

A pleasant meal at Galvin La Chapelle, service and general atmosphere was excellent. Food itself wasn’t great, certainly not as good as expected when compared to other similar restaurants in London.

I took my partner to La Chapelle to propose to her. I gave the restaurant a heads up so I could express preferences as to how and where I’d like to propose. Big mistake. On arrival, the hostess promptly congratulated us on our yet-to-happen engagement. Staff also got our drink order wrong twice.

We came for the Mother’s Day set menu and have been several times over the years due to the excellent food, wine, and service. No exception today with all providing a superb day for my mother and

Very disappointing. We had the 7 course tasting menu. With the exception of the Cornish Red Mullet dish which was a simply presented filet with a delicious sauce, the remaining dishes were confused and poorly presented. Most dishes consisted of a small mound of mixed ingredients, delivering a confused and largely forgettable taste. Presentation was boring and predictable. At £850 for a meal for 4 (incl c.£200 for 2 bottles of wine), its not an experience I will rush to repeat.

Very disappointing, yet madly expensive tasting menu lunch! Everything was luke warm at best and presentation was sadly lacking.

Very good service, main courses are brilliant. But starter is not too good, especially in terms of presenting. The dessert is a bit odd, quite average.

Sunday lunch Service friendly although we missed out on free tasters before our meal, every other table received theirs. All three courses were delicious for both my wife and I. Drinks ridiculously expensive Wine list also expensive. A hefty 14.5% service charge added to your bill only adds to an eye-watering bill. A very nice establishment but no sense of reality in regards to pricing. The restaurant told it's own story it was only half full.

My wife and I love the all-round experience when visiting Galvin La Chapelle. We're always made welcome from the moment we arrive until the moment of departure. And, of course, the food and drink are sublime! It's our favourite restaurant by a country mile.

Good food with nice atmosphere. Everything was ?. The staff was very friendly and they explain to you everything you need to know and the most impressive was the somelier guy who know a lot of thinks about wines . The manager of the place was around there and he was coming to all the table to see if everything is ok and this is very rare nowadays.

The place is spacious, it was originally a sports stadium, and has plenty of light. The food and service are excellent, and the price is right.
