Gastropubs in London
“I think recently changed hands but enjoyed the food. Not many people there so atmosphere a bit lacking.”
“We went after a Prom concert at the Royal Albert Hall. At first they could not find our reservation, but still gave us a table. Food was excellent”
“A group of us chose 24 The Oval for an early dinner after seeing great reviews and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, loads of plants and an open kitchen which feels like you’re eating at a friend’s place. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, especially the pork belly and dauphinois potatoes. The homemade focaccia was really gorgeous too and superb cocktails. Definitely recommend you pay 24 The Oval a visit!”
“The Orange Tree is a gastropub in Totteridge, London, that my wife and I have been frequenting for years on Sundays for drinks and food. We always have a wonderful time, and the food is consistently high quality. The atmosphere is especially lovely during the Christmas season. The menu features a variety of modern European dishes, with a focus on seafood. The Orange Tree also has a great selection of wine and beer, including several cask ales. The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful, and they're happy to make recommendations.Vegetarian options: AvailableDietary restrictions: Staffs are very helpful please speak to themParking: Private parking availableKid-friendliness: Highly recommendWheelchair accessibility: Easy for wheelchair”
“A terrific addition to West London eating. Inventive, stylish and delicious food. Wine list has some absolute crackers at keen prices. The level of hospitality is very high indeed and Max is clearly destined for great things. Go, go, go.”
“Kate, Rob and the team of absolute legends at The Portland Arms really delivered the goods and made my mum feel safe and comfortable ordering a delicious roast without any fear. The portions are amazing... the meat is lean and really good quality... veg cooked to perfection. All this with and a buzzing friendly atmosphere to boot - this lively local is my absolute favourite.”
“I’ve been staying at the St Martins Lane hotel for years and love it. Everything from the staff to the accommodations, hidden bar and breakfast menu are fantastic! But only recently tried the reset Aurand for dinner and it is just as good. The food is very good, and the servers, including Manuel are a true treat.Restaurant could borrow some of the mood and setting from the hidden bar. But outside of that, I give a very large thumbs up!”
“It's rare to find a really good Sunday roast in a pub, but the Red Lion offers one of genuinely high quality. Very tasty, good variety of veg and sides - you can tell a bit of thought and care has gone into it. Very impressed.”
“Proper old boozer with great, mixed clientele great ale and right in the heart of London, its now my first choice pub when in town”
