“Best Sunday Roast in Nottinghill.
I have been living in London for 18 months and wanted to take my cousins for a traditional Sunday roast for their first time in London. The Mall Tavern had great reviews and did not disappoint, we received lovely service, amazing food and enjoyed their little courtyard. We all had the roast pork belly and shared cauliflower cheese.
Will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.”

I went with my partner who not only is vegetarian, but a very picky eater and she was over the moon with how accommodating the staff and the chefs were.

“30+ of us booked a corner to celebrate the completion of our play. We booked the section on the left with pre-dinner drinks and a sit-down dinner. A menu was specially designed for us to fit our budget. All food items were great, the pork croquettes, marinated bavette, beetroot focaccia, pork belly, pumpkin risotto and Lincolnshire sausages. The chef also made us a Guinness chocolate cake and prune Victorian cake. The food is definitely way above typical bar food quality. We were pleasantly surprised.

Being relatively new to the UK and London, it’s the first time many of us stayed so late in a neighbourhood pub. The crowd was super friendly. And they kept on coming even after midnight. We had a wonderful time drinking and dancing after dinner.

Ryan, our server, did a wonderful job. Many didn’t remember what they pre-ordered. Many were not paying much attention when the courses were being served, some were late. We also had a video to be projected. Ryan helped us sort everything out with patience, and a smiley face, and a lot of sweat. Seeing him literally running around reminded us of efficiency and service dedication back in Hong Kong and made us feel at home.

Thanks for making our celebration a memorable evening. We will surely come back.”

“The food was outstanding. Venison was extra tender and was just melting in mouth - definitely recommend this dish. Cooked to the perfection. Get it together with the broccoli salad which was crunchy and flavourful too. Octopuses weren't my personal choice so I can't speak of its preparation but my partner did enjoy them very much so they must have been delicious too!
To my taste, the deserts, despite served in a unique way, didn't steal the show that evening. We did like them though as they weren't overly sweet and the texture was perfect.
Atmosphere was perfect - quiet and serene - and the waiter who served us was able to help us select dishes and articulated the details of each dish very clearly.”
