I was accompanied by my son and his partner who recently moved to that area of London a few blocks from the venue. For them it has become the reference restaurant for their dinners as a couple. They wanted me to enjoy the dishes prepared with skill and imagination by the chef, while firmly maintaining Italian traditions and flavours, and served in the welcoming restaurant by the very friendly Giulia. We chose from a not very rich but decidedly Italian style menu a seared octopus in sauce, really tender and tasty, my son chose the Amatriciana, while I opted for the Fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, my son's girlfriend preferred a meat dish, rib braised in Amarone. The wine, a Chianti Mediceo to accompany all the dishes of the dinner which we concluded with good espressos and grappas. The price is in line with the qualified restaurants in the area. Advised !

Really high standard of cooking without having to go into central London.

An absolute gem on the Askew Road. Giulia can stand toe-to-toe with any of the "big-name" Italian restaurants in the capital. Yes, even those with celebrity chefs who are never off the TV. It's a restaurant I would consider a "destination" in itself.

Delicious and cosy restaurant!
Went on a Friday evening and tried the July menu, from where we have chosen the ‘ndujia&octupus and steak tartar as starters. Followed by Aubergine ravioli and Spaghetti vongole. Then, last but not least, tiramisu and amaretto mouse with basil sorbet. All freshly made by one of the owners.
Thanks to Giulia (owner) for her service, who has been very kind and welcoming.

We will definitely come back to try the future menus.

The exquisite aubergine ravioli was absolutely delectable, and the tiramisu was equally divine. The tiramisu was elegantly presented in a charming cup and saucer. The service provided was exceptional, accompanied by warm and friendly smiles. The ambiance of the establishment was characterized by a clean and environmentally conscious decor, creating a refreshing and inviting atmosphere.

What we ordered wasn't really my taste (octopus, fish, spaghetti + mussels, ravioli), but it still gives me a high rating. My Ravioli Cacio e Pepe was falling apart a bit and maybe if there were more of them, I wouldn't have noticed these few. Taste -satisfactory. The ladies liked seafood, but it's not my cup of tea and I don't judge. Gellato, sorbet - sorry, but Italians should do better. Portions quite small. Prices are high for this. Very nice staff and a quiet place. I probably won't go there again, but I still recommend it. A great break from the hustle and bustle of London.

Giulia's: A Symphony of Simplicity

Giulia's, nestled in Shepherd’s Bush, proves that the most extraordinary culinary experiences often stem from the simplest of ingredients. From the moment we were greeted with warm focaccia, alongside our perfectly balanced Aperol and Hugo spritzes, we knew we were in for a treat.

The cacio e pepe ravioli, a Roman classic, was nothing short of divine. The delicate pasta pillows, enrobed in a velvety sauce of butter & sage, delivered an explosion of flavour with every bite. This was not just cacio e pepe; this was cacio e pepe elevated to an art form, the best we've ever encountered!

While the menu boasts an array of tempting options, we were fortunate enough to be offered a taste of their homemade tiramisu, a dish not listed but whispered about among regulars. The ethereal layers of espresso-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream were a testament to the chef's dedication to quality and authenticity.

Giulia's is not just a restaurant; it's a love letter to Italian cuisine, a place where unpretentious dishes are crafted with care and passion. The friendly service and inviting atmosphere further enhance the experience, making it clear why patrons return time and again.

We, for one, cannot wait to return to this charming trattoria. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply seeking a taste of Italy, Giulia's is an absolute must-try.

We had a fantastic experience at Giulia.
The service and the food were an absolute experience. I would recommend the signature dishes of the octopus and the spaghetti with vongole.
They were also flexible to accommodate for a delicious cake for my partners birthday. Will be back here for sure! Well done Giulia!
