Delicious food and welcoming service. Do not let the humble decor trick you, this restaurant is a gem.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants in the area but recently chicken has been quite tough, not very pleased with that.

Naan and tandoori chicken are highly recommended.

Always great, both in the restaurant and to takeaway. Friendly service and delicious food. Always accommodating (even now we have a little one). Now I no longer live in the area I still make an effort to go back with friends when I have the chance.

I was in the area for an appointment. And I had Google this place assuming that is another franchise. I got there and I had ordered food which is usually the typical as I didn't want to take any risk by trying something new. So got butter chicken and other items. Despite the fact that the food was below average. I must rate the waiter as he was so humble. I could tell he was new to the job. He didn't even mention to us in a conversation. I could see him making alot of effort towards the customers that there were. He was being polite and ensured that every customer is happy with their food and drink. He kept going to each table to ask if they need anything else etc. I am the kind of person that I need my food to be at certain standard and customer service to be on point as at the end of the day I'm paying service charge etc. But today I thought its a small family restaurant and they're trying to make some business before the close of the day.It was good to see someone work ethically and trying to do better.

Excellent food and superb service, as always. I've been eating at this restaurant for around 40 years. I've sampled Indian restaurants elsewhere, but Himalayas is always the best, whatever dish you order. I'm happy to recommend to anyone, because i know they won't be disappointed.Vegetarian options: Excellent tasty vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: I've brought my whole family here for special occasions, including children and everyone was made welcomeParking: A few free parking bays in front

Average curry house, food very nice, staff very friendly and very good value for money. Decor is average.Parking: Plenty of parking in the evening after 7pm right across the road.

I cannot give enough praise for this restaurant. It might well be one of the only true Indian restaurants left in South East London. It remains in traditional decor and has been around for 50 years. It has an enormous menu with massive variety and is very well priced. God knows where they got the chef from, but please, please keep him.The food is plentiful, well cooked and service is personal and efficient. We have eaten in many times and had takeaways and both are brilliant. No frills with the decor but the ambiance is great. Highly reccomended.Kid-friendliness: Fantastic. Everyone is welcomed including our 9 year old autistic grandson with fussy eating. Customers clearly love this restaurant as much as us because like us, they use it frequently.Parking: Parking is easy in local side streets and directly outside after 7pm.

Had a tasty takeaway from here recently, flavours really blew me away and felt I could taste every individual spice. Service was also really friendly from the waiter who grabbed my food for me. Would visit again :)

It was quiet but was Tuesday early evening. Very bright lights, could do with dimming them to create a bit of atmosphere and some Indian music maybe.Food was tasty and reasonably priced.
