Japanese Restaurants in London
“Thank you Hannah for today’s 8 course omakase kaiseki-inspired lunch! All the dishes was delicate and beautiful, service very friendly and attentive and atmosphere relaxed! The tomato water was so tasty.. unbelievable.., other strong points are smoked sea bream tataki, cuttlefish, scallop soba, and of course wagyu . Almost forgot to take photo of the amazing japanese tea ice cream.”
“Great place! The food was nothing short of amazing, and we had a lot of it among the 5 of us. Service was super efficient and also helpful with advise on how much to order etc. very cool atmosphere and super flexible in moving us to a bigger table. Loved it!”
“Some might say, this place is the best Japanese katsu place in the UK, and I agree. Great menu (simple yet effective) plus good portion reflecting the price point. It is not cheap to dine here, but not expensive either, which makes me come back often. Delicious food, reasonable price, great service- what more can I ask! :)”
“This place is amazing. The food was delicious the head chef very humble. Cooked us beautiful food. Atmosphere brilliant. Would definitely go back”
“I’ve been to Yama Momo a few times and I would highly recommend the volcano roll. It is definitely the best thing on the menu . Everything else was also delicious but the volcano roll is what stands out. The lychee martini is a good go to cocktail as well. Food is good but I would say it’s pretty expensive.”
“The sushi is probably the best I’ve had in London, and I've been to quite a few sushi places. I like that some of the sushi dishes are warm as well, and the portion sizes are really big too! I would highly recommend the veggie sushi; you can see it all being freshly and meticulously prepared in front of you. The only slight thing I'd say is that you wouldn't look at it thinking the food is top-notch. I've marked the atmosphere as 3 out of 5, but the food makes for an incredible experience, and that's the main thing”
“Excellent Korean food ! The KFC is great as well as the bulgogi and the miso Jam aubergine.”
“We went for the tasting menu offered at £60pp and I was hoping for more. We were greeted with a bowl of edamame beans and we ordered oolong tea to compliment the meal. It started with the cold platter selection which was 3 types of sashimi (one piece each), california roll (2 pc each) and beef tataki (2 pc each). Delicious but portions were tiny! The hot platter which had the salt and pepper squid, chicken karaage and pork gyozas were the star of the show! It was healthy portions with 3 different dipping sauces. The mains, I was disappointed with. My partner ordered they flamed beef fillet, with a disappointing 5 pieces which on the 'Robata Large' menu goes for £28. I ordered the black cod which was a tiny portion and normally offered at £32. The dish would have made the world of a difference if it came with some rice or noodles.Delicious food but a few added carbs to the mains would have made it 5 stars for me.”
“We don't always find good sushi in London so this is a gem. Dining space is limited so it is best to arrive early/make a reservation. Service is attentive and friendly, the lady makes sure to check in now and again despite being busy with orders and takeaway. Definitely coming back again to try other things on the menu!”
“I love this Japanese grilled restaurant. The food is very nice with decent price. We ordered a set for 5 (actually got 6 of us) and it feeds everyone of us nice and full. I also love how it designed the set menus where everything is included, for snacks, sides, mains included. The price is very decent and like everything. It is usually full especially during weekends, so make sure you book yourself a table a week before you visit there. I highly recommended this restaurant!”
