Love the concept but it was so crowded that I was almost sitting on people. Also didn’t have many food options and the staff seemed a bit annoyed by

Love their matcha crepe cake, not too sweet and has a strong taste of matcha. The matcha quality is great for the latte. Great atmosphere for a Sunday. But be ready to queue or wait for a seat because it is very popular!

Found this adorable Japanese tea room right by Angel metro station. They serve coffee, teas, matcha tea, and a tasty range of Japanese pastries. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Loved my first visit – such a great experience!

The food and drink at this place is incredible, and the shop itself is so cute. Everything is so unique and it’s so fun to try something new every time I visit. However the coffee shop itself is very small and I think due to a recent surge in popularity, it’s near impossible to get seats inside. Regardless delicious goods and would definitely recommend if you’re in the area and want to try something different!

Ordered strawberry shortcake. The cake was quite dry and the cream tasted cheap.

Great japanese tea house/ coffee shop near angel tube station!Katsute offers a wide selection of tea leaves for the brewed tea. There are lots of matcha and hojicha desserts to choose from and wide range of other japanese drinks. We went with the basic matcha latte and also the matcha cheesecake. And they were delicious just as expected. The latte tasted strongly of matcha, in a good way and it was not too sweet. The cheesecake held it shape up very well yet was still super creamy and delicious.

This is a Japanese-style cafe where you can taste authentic Japanese flavors. The matcha they use comes from Japan. The store is located next to the street and is easy to find, diagonally opposite the Amazon convenience store. Because it is very popular, there are often people queuing up and even ordering takeout, so if you want to sit inside, you have to queue a little bit. They have not many seats, but it is still a small shop, so don’t imagine too much. Very big. As for meals, their cakes must be the best. They are really delicious. The proportion of matcha is well controlled. If you ask me, you can come here just for cakes. In addition, their Japanese tea is also very stylish and the decoration is very Japanese. It is worth it. Come check in.It seemed to me that many of the shop assistants were Japanese. If you understand Japanese, you can come over and chat with them. They are nice and smiling and polite. I will come again in the future.Vegetarian options: Cake products can be vegetarian, but if you don’t eat eggs, please be patient and consider it.

Today me and my partner visited this place. Ordered Rose tea. We know very well what roses smell like and regularly buy high quality rose tea. Today, we paid for something with not even a hint of rose.I asked a waitress if that was the right one or if they gave me a wrong teapot.I asked her to smell it and she said “It is rose”. She lied straight to my face and I insisted telling her there was no rose in there but she insisted with a rude manner.Same thing happened when my partner thought it wasn’t right to being lied to your face. Rude staff that clearly showed they wanted their shift to be over.Other than the tea, the whole place smelled of very old and dirty furniture.Lastly, a walk down the stairs made me be extra careful: the stairs had huge cracks, missing chunks of wood and there were edges from the wall right next, extremely dangerous (at eye level). No warning signs whatsoever. This is a health and safety issue. If anyone even thinks to inspect this place, they would close it down until repaired.Never going back to that place again.

The service was great nice and fast however the space is too cramped and filled. It also took very long for the tables to be cleared. I ordered the strawberry cake which was NKT that great but was not bad. The macha cake was not great at all, the flavour was bad other dessert places could be

A bit cramped but lovely little Japanese cafe. They do have much bigger garden space but I reckon its only popular during warmer weather.

The interior is very small packed with seats so not very comfy if you sit in. There’s outdoor garden but it can be cold unless the weather is warm.We ordered 3 stuffs: matcha latte isn’t bad but bitter than I would prefer, same as matcha crepe cake. My favourite is montblanc cake which the chestnut tastes was very rich and nice :)

Always good quality Japanese matcha drinks and desserts. Went on weekend opening time and easily get a table, wide range of drinks available and few cakes on display. Got busy around 11, also has outdoor garden space for seating.
