So the restaurant is in a very upmarket part of London and decor and ambiance are both classy and sophisticated. However the service was slow, so much so that if we had wanted 3 courses we would have struggled to get them in within the allocated table time (as advised by the front of house team as we were seated). Service was friendly but not very slick in my mind. The Armenian wine was delicious and the food was reasonable although I would not say Wow. I was expecting charcoal grill flavours literally zinging off my tongue and I didn’t get that. I have had more flavoursome meals at small local Middle Eastern eateries without having the price tag of a top Mayfair restaurant. Overall I would say I wouldn’t return and hence cannot hand on heart give more than an OK review. It’s a shame as I had high hopes but I think it was a bit more glitz over substance.

Beware! Initially welcomed and treated OK. Food ordering was first sign of a problem - ordered two starters the same and only got one to share also had to ask for the second one which did arrive quite quickly. Wine order was the problem - the wine list is very small typing and we asked for a dry white wine that was 'typically Armenian". The wine waiter offered to let us try a taste of our selection before getting the bottle - which we did. When it arrived it was a bottle of red but it tasted good so we said OK. An hour later after our main courses - which were Ok although the lamb chops were not pink and were a bit tough we asked for the bill. They seemed to be rushing us out as they brought us our coats before we had even asked for them or paid the bill. When the bill came the wine cost £138 - certainly not what we thought we had ordered. We paid but felt totally conned - so beware - if your likely to be an easy target for a restaurant trying to get rid of expensive wine don't book a table at Lusin!

I live in London and work locally; Lusin was an absolute delight - I am now desperate to try more Armenian food. Had the Armenian salad, egg plant rolls and sujuc , then the kibbeh with lamb and the pastry side dish, truly a one of experience, in lovely setting with friendly staff. I can’t believe this place isn’t talked about more.

This is for sure one of the best restaurants I have tried in Mayfair, and by far one of the most uniques... This was the first time I had persian food and I was totally in love with it. For sure I will recommend this to everyone who is visiting London and wants to try something special :)
