Food was delicious. We got the fish sando, banana bread and hash browns. All 3 items were excellent, service was good.Ordered a flat white, which was nice but a bit weak considering it’s supposed to be 2 shots. It’s definitely loud in there and seating isn’t the most comfortable. We waited around 35-40 mins to get a table.

Fish Sando 8/10 - mvp of the day with the right crunch and perfectly compatible combo of taste and ingredients. True to its name, this japanese style dish was minimalist to its core. Using the right ingredients and cooking time, the flavours had been perfect for me. Also it's big enough for 2.The Convict 7/10 - splash of flavours were a bit overwhelming the taste felt a bit of an overdose/all over the place for me. Taste wise it's something you can get anywhere. Bread tasted more like biscuit. I was expecting more of a toastie kind of texture. It's yummy still!Tahini Banana Bread 7.5/10 - tahini on top overpowered the banana bread so best to eat them separately if you want to have a better taste of the banana in the bread. Tahini is also a bit too sweet even for a sweet tooth like me. Nevertheless it's something I would want to indulge in every once in awhile.Weekend special pancakes 3.5/10 - Not a fan of pancakes made with buckwheat. The special this weekend had been a miss for me with the experimental choice of toppings. Enjoyed the blackcurrant cheesecake on top though. An interesting dish overall!Coffee: Latte was smooth and silky it's good coffee. Get an extra shot for a more bitter and stronger taste.Recommend the fish sando, it's perfect. We ordered a lot for 2 hence the £30-40pp price range. You could be spending £10-20pp with coffee.Do expect a long queue around brunch time where the wait could take up to 2 hours.

Just finished eating here and I have to say that this is one of my favorite breakfast spots so far. They also have great merch!

Came across this hidden gem while visiting the area. This is the only place in England that I have come across in 5 years that serves cornbread! Which as an American, is one of my favorites; and the bread was spot on! Staff was very friendly and attentive.Vegetarian options: Have many options available!

It’s worth the queue! The food is awesome, kinda like the normal London brunch classics but with a twist. Defo get some of their hash browns, they are awesome. Coffees are great, all the mains are awesome, we got some of the veggies too. Total came to about £50 for two people with a tip. Very relaxed service and didn’t feel rushed, even with a queue outside! Will be coming back for sureVegetarian options: Lots of options!Wheelchair accessibility: It’s accessible!

Milk Cafe is a trendy cafe in London that serves up delicious food and drinks. The cafe has a wide selection of coffees, teas, and smoothies. The cafe is located in a popular area of London, so it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. If you want to avoid the queues, I recommend getting there early. However, even if you have to queue, it's worth it to try the food and drinks at Milk.

Shame there is one member of staff who is so unfriendly and rude that it ruins it. We are locals and it’s happens everytime that we no longer go. Agree with the reviewer below, if you go you will quickly realise which person it is.

Super nice food, juices and coffee. Highly recommend the halva banana bread and the fish sando

Absolutely awful experience.I asked for eggs to be cooked differently to poached so I could still enjoy a dish without sensory issues.I was then met with an extremely passive aggressive woman who made it into an issue that I’d ask for the dish to be altered. She then goes on to say the dish won’t look right with the sauce, so I can’t order the dish at all. They cared more about how the dish looked to everyone else over the person paying for it and eating it.Take into consideration that people have sensory issues, not all disabilities are visible.

The queue took forever, despite a fair few tables dotted about sitting empty. The food was average and not worth the wait. The setting is nice though, and love the branding. But all in all, not worth the hype.

Food not great. Limited choice. Over priced. Really fancies itself as ..... something special. Which it really isn't. Best bit, the seats outside. One member of staff particularly salty and dismissive to the extent of being unhelpful.... If you make the mistake of visiting, I think youll be able to pick them out.

I have been coming for a number of years and the staff and very lovely (even if you haven’t been coming for a couple of years). The food is really delicious. The Sweet Maria is a top fave. The banana bread is also a must. When dining in the coffees are great but served with a single shot which leave you wanting another (good for business). It’s a little pricy but it’s the best cafe in Balham so they still have my custom

Solid, fresh and creative food served with a smile! They put a delicious spin on most of their dishes, leaving you thinking what’s been done. This place is worth the queue wait! Highly recommend.

Is it worth all the hype? Really depends how patient you are to queue! Also, as daunting as the queue generally looks Ive never waiting more than 20 mins. the food has never really disappointed and the service has always been great so would recommend and would come back

The busiest place in Balham, daily change of coffee beans. Everything decent, but the waiting times to get the food are killing every possible vibe.
