Best COLD PIZZA in twon. You go guys BRAVO . On top of that we had to wait 25 minutes. With the dining room was more half empty. Even the downstairs room was closed.

Delicious pre-theatre dinner. We had the selection of Neapolitan street food to start, followed by pizza and pasta. The ingredients were superb, well cooked and served with good cheer. Will go back when we are in this part of London again.

We had a pre-theatre meal here that was great!! This is fabulous Italian (Neapolitan) food on the South bank of London. As the menu says, everything was really fresh. The buratta and figs was spectacular. The cheese was creamy, luscious and not too salty-the best we have ever had including in Italy- it must have been flown in within a day! And the figs and greens wee fresh as well. My wife's pasta was superb and my oratta was wonderfully seasoned. The service was great. This is a great place to go if you are going to theater or museums on the South Bank.

There were lots of things wrong with this restaurant but the headline is that the pizza was flabby, greasy, doughy, tepid and loaded with indistinguishable toppings. It was actively bad, made worse by the many staff who insisted on telling us how great it would be (several times interrupting our conversation to offer an unwanted monologue on why their pizza was the best). We dropped in on a Friday night and the restaurant was busy so we sat at the bar. Service was either wildly over or under attentive. When we wanted a moment to get settled we were interrogated about drinks, 'just a glass of water for now' brought a £3.50 small bottle of water, opened before we could refuse. No further water offered all evening so I got up myself to fetch a carafe of tap water. Our food waiter was clueless, he stood way too close and waited for me to decide when I needed more time to read the menu. Later we were asked to reconfirm our order from memory as the kitchen had lost it. We ordered one glass of £11 wine, they bought two. My companion ate hardly any of her pizza but didn't want to cause a scene. Instead of picking up on 'it wasn't as good as it was made out to be' the waiter asked us again and again whether we liked it and made us feel uncomfortable. The bill came to £58 for 2 pizza, 1 glass white wine and a glass of water. 15% service was added.

Very nice staff, quiet, but central location, good food. Excellent focaccia. My sea bream was very flavoursome, fish a tad over-cooked, but very nice nonetheless. Portions err on the small side, but perfectly adequate. As I’ve said, really nice staff and very pleasant ambiance - a nice place.

Fabulous lunch with my friend, service was first class, pasta cooked to perfection. Ideal location as we were going to the Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre just opposite. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Average at best. Soggy and overpriced pizza, missing toppings, overall not a great experience at all. Might want to give it a go once more trying something else other than pizza but I will have to think long and hard before going back or recommending this place to someone else. Service was good though but a 15% is added on top while the average in London is 12.5%.

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have a meal before visiting the Menier Chocolate Factory for a show and were delighted to find the Italian restaurant, 'O ver, which is conveniently located opposite the theatre. I had booked a table for 5.30pm when they open. We were greeted by Charlie who continued to take good care of us while we were there - he is charming and helpful (please pass those comments to him!). The food is expensive but a very different menu from the usual Italian fare. My friend and I shared a Neopolitan starter (three items) and I then had the special pasta dish of the day which was delicious. My friend had the gnocchi. Desserts were respectively Tiramisu and Cannoli (both excellent!). We enjoyed a bottle of Chianti and continued the evening with a very good show. We would recommend this restaurant and hope to visit again soon!!

Expensive and disappointing. Trendy, simple and urbane. The green salad was a handful of lettuce drizzled with olive oilsome if the lettuce a bit bruised. The £18 calamari and prawns arrived too soon to have been cooked from fresh and were chewy. Greasy and not lightly fried as per the menu description.

We prefer to eat after theatre and this Italian restaurant's kitchen is open late. Loved the venue and charming crew. My pizza whilst full of flavour was one of the worst I have had. Very difficult to cut. Thick soggy base. Average at best. My friend however found the special pasta of the day excellent. ????

Best pizza I’ve had in ages and the staff were brilliant! I would definitely come again and highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem in an unexpected place. My wife and I were staying at the CitizenM hotel and walked Southwark eastward, but the pickings for a quiet dinner were slim. Then we stumbled on 'O ver and saw that it was both busy but had some outdoor tables, and the Italian menu was good for everyone, meat and fish eaters and vegetarians, and well marked as to what was being served. We asked for an outside table, and were told that the wait was 5-10 minutes. Not so. We finally sat inside, but the noise reverberated off the walls and it was very noisy. We again asked for an outdoors table and within 10 minutes we had a quiet, Sunday evening outdoor table on Southwark Street, blessedly cool and quiet. The staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating to get us the table. We had a pizza and a Mediterranean salad. They say that the pizza dough is made with sea salt. Whatever it was, it was deliciously different from the usual. The veggies on the pizza and in the salad were fresh and really good. The gelato dessert (chocolate and mango) was pricey at 8 euro for two small scoops, but unusually tasty. The person who spoke to us (Maitre-di? or manager or head waiter?) Drew was very gracious and told us that their fish was bought daily at the Borough Street market and that their other ingredients were flown in from Italy. The prices overall (except for the dessert) were reasonable. The service wonderful. The outdoor tables quiet, the inside frenetic with noise. There was a wide choice of wines, less so of beers. I would definitely return next time I am in London, particularly if I were going to the Globe Theatre that was a 5-10 minute walk from the restaurant.

Absolutely dreadful zero taste I had the calzone it was tasteless dough with zero filling , my wife had the Mediterranean salad again absolutely zero taste . The wine was nice at £32 but really the restaurant was full of tourists who really wouldn’t complain. We live on the road U.K. wide the worst £80 I’ve ever spent in a restaurant.

My wife, adult son and I visited the Borough branch for dinner. This was a high quality Italian meal, with an extensive menu. Our food was delicious. The staff were excellent and seemed to be genuinely interested in giving us a truly enjoyable evening, which, indeed, we had. We plan to return.
