It looked like it needed a good clean. The food was very overpriced and not particularly tasty. The cappuccino was delicious but tepid. A disappointment.

Stumbled upon this little gem and was happy I stopped. Cosy atmosphere, great food and warm service. Dog friendly too so I got to see some sweet faces whilst enjoying an incredible brunch. I will be back.

This place is more like a street vendor. It’s tiny, very noisy, directly next to intense traffic. One must queue to order and hope there is a table free by the time you get to the till if you’re solo (4x 2 seaters). The door was fixed open on a very busy junction so noise and fumes from the traffic was off putting. I ordered scrambled eggs, salmon, avocado & toast. Portion was very small, lumps of undercooked albumen throughout, 1 piece toast that my knife couldn’t get through, covered in sweet pomegranate (not mentioned on menu). It’s a no from me.

Just had a delicious scrambled egg on toast with salmon, lovely ingredients and cooked perfectly. Coffee is fab and all the staff are friendly and happy?

We love Poached and see it as a real treat when we have it. However we ordered food on Deliveroo this morning and were so disappointed when it arrived. The muffin was dry, the sausage burnt and the egg overdone.. all completely cold too. We also had poached eggs which were stone cold and overdone too. Not sure if they have a new cook or what but based on today I wouldn’t go back.

Review for Poached Coffee Shop:I recently had the pleasure of visiting Poached Coffee Shop, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere of the place was warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that made me feel right at home. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, setting the perfect mood for a relaxing coffee break. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional service provided by Sara and Rachel. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with genuine smiles and a friendly attitude. Their knowledge of the coffee menu was impressive, and they were more than willing to offer recommendations based on my preferences. Their passion for coffee was evident, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to my overall experience. Now, let's talk about the coffee itself. It was undoubtedly one of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long time. The baristas at Poached Coffee Shop truly know their craft. The beans were clearly of high quality, and the brewing process was done with precision, resulting in a rich and flavorful cup that was simply heavenly. Whether you prefer a classic espresso or a fancy latte with intricate latte art, they have it all covered.Beyond the coffee, the menu also offered an array of delicious treats that complemented the beverages perfectly. I couldn't resist trying some of their freshly baked pastries, and they did not disappoint. The pastries were fresh, flaky, and packed with delicious fillings, making them an excellent accompaniment to my coffee. The ambiance at Poached Coffee Shop was perfect for both catching up with friends or enjoying some peaceful me-time. The seating arrangements were comfortable, and the soft background music added to the overall charm of the place. In conclusion, I highly recommend Poached Coffee Shop to all coffee enthusiasts and anyone looking for a delightful café experience. The combination of great coffee, delectable pastries, and the exceptional service provided by Sara and Rachel makes this place stand out. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Poached Coffee Shop to indulge in their coffee and immerse myself in the welcoming atmosphere once again.

Best iced latte I’ve tasted (I’ve had a few!) and the staff are absolutely lovely ?

I had poached eggs and avocado and it was divine. I particularly liked the feta cheese addition, sounds weird but it absolutely works.

In the middle of a nice area, cozy small cafe , with phenomenal coffee and breakfast , the brunch there is out of the world we had the chili eggs breakfast , their most famous is the poached special (haven't tried but seen ppl order it ), they have sweets (bites) and pastries. It's not the best place for working with laptops but you can read, for example, definitely a gem worth visiting .

Met up with my brother-in-law for breakfast; I can't speak for them, but I had the poached special w/ chilli jam instead of brown sauce & a side of garlic mushrooms. All the individual elements were really well cooked & went together perfectly - one thing I'd recommend though: if you want your eggs runny, make sure to ask! In hindsight, there was plenty to fill me up without adding a side of mushrooms, which nontheless were cooked exactly as they should be (which is *not* a soggy mess!) I ordered a black americano, and you can tell that the beans weren't burnt (as opposed to some coffee chains (Costa)) and of a good quality as the entirety had a velvety taste to it.It's a perfect place for cute little get-togethers with a friend or, at a stretch, two - don't expect a group breakfast happening here as the space just won't allow for it. The place had seven people in it, including us, and it was basically full, but *definitely* check them out. The staff are friendly as can be and *will* deliver a top service.Vegetarian options: I'm not vegetarian, but they *do* have a fair few vegetarian options from what I remember - avocado toast and breakfast bowls - but do check in advance for other things.

Horrible attitude from the barista on numerous occasions. She makes it uncomfortable to be in the cafe if you have done anything to irritate her I.E ask her to turn down the music, have a pram etc Loud music makes it uncomfortable to be in with family or speaking to anyone you’re with. She serves her friends first and if she is in ANY WAY stressed you will know about it. So sad because this place has the best coffee in Beckenham and delicious food and we have been loyal for years but this service really ruins the atmosphere and now I dread going in

Just not enjoyable. The coffee and vibes are immaculate at their Bromley branch. No greeting on entry and pretty awful food here.

Always a good idea to stop off for brunch or coffee at poached, if you're lucky enough to get a table! Highly recommend the sweetcorn fritters - DELISH
