“Stopped by for a drink after seeing a film. This is one of my favourite pubs in Angel/Islington. The selection of beer and wine is fab. The staff are always upbeat and friendly. We sat outside in the garden but remember it shuts by 9pm.”

“I had wanted to visit the Tavern for a long time so was very much looking forward to dinner with the family on a Saturday night. The surroundings are absolutely lovely and we were seated at a round table which I liked. There was a good choice on the menu and the service was great. I have dietary requirements but they were great at accommodating them. My only criticism is that I ordered strawberry and vanilla ice cream but they brought chocolate and was told they didn’t have strawberry. Really they should not assume that was ok just to change it - it’s not something I like and had to leave it. Overall it was lovely but not as good as I had imagined it would be.”
