Lovely building but so disappointing that that service didn’t match up to what was expected in the setting and for the price. We had reserved a tame for 4. On arrival staff dithered as if we hadn’t booked. Staff were attentive at taking orders and food came out in reasonable time but some drinks were very slow to arrive and needed chasing multiple times. There was no warmth of any of the staff in the restaurant. They didn’t really seem to care that much. There was not really much of an apology for the slowness of some of the drinks order and 12.5% service added on still with no other compensation. At the the end we showed a 15% off discount card we had and mentioned at time of booking and they took ages to sort the bill, serving other tables in between and taking photos of their own restaurant on the website of the discount card from our phone, it was all very strange and didn’t make us feel that great as customers. The food was fine but at £30 for a main and £12 each for a starter and dessert you expect a high standard and that just didn’t come through today other than the setting.

The entire experience was a shambles and to be honest has put us off having another afternoon tea experience.Yes the venue was lovely but lacked ambience .My wife’s teacup had lipstick marks on it & then to top it off she was given a soiled napkin! The bar was been refurbished so could not have a mocktail - all that was on offer were limited fizzy drinks! The scones were stone cold. Ham was processed and of a poor quality. Bread was even stale! Merengue topping was only blowtorched for colouring with egg white uncooked. To top it off we were invoiced for a service charge which was non existent and we refused to pay.Was our worst ever afternoon tea experience

Hotel restaurant, divided between hotel guests and external customers upon reservation.Professional and friendly staff, bright, elegant and well-kept room.Excellent cuisine, good presentation of the dishes.Quality food, medium-high prices adequate for the standard.

The afternoon tea at Horseguards was recommended and did not disappoint. The teas (especially the strawberry cream house blend) and every bite were delicious and the service provided by Elena was exceptional ❤️

We went there for an afternoon tea. Place is nice, although we ended up in a table in a corner, in a rather anonymous spot.Service was ok, a bit dismissive. Food was good and abundant, although no choice.Tea was ok, but not great either.Overall, it's a nice area and a nice afternoon tea, but I would look for something more special for next time.

We had a beautiful afternoon tea at the Royal Horseguards. We were greeted by a very smiley Olena who explained the choices and took our order for drinks etc. The food was incredible and just enough for two and the pomegranate tea was the best I have ever tasted, I would love to know where they source it.The whole hotel was decorated with Christmas trees and lights with a lovely cinnamon smell everywhere. The fires were burning and it felt really cosy. This is one of our favourite places to have afternoon tea and the festive menu did not disappoint. Thank you to Olena for making it so lovely.

Afternoon tea was brilliant! I'd made a note on my reservation about some allergies in our party and Olena, our host, was aware immediately and confirmed that what was included was OK for us to eat. Olena was so attentive. Planning on returning and taking my grandmother for her brithday as she loves afternoon tea and it was done so well here!

Visited yesterday for The Kings Coronation afternoon tea which I'd brought for my neighbours 75th Birthday. We were servered by Tania who was very attentive. The food was delicious & we found the selection of sandwiches & cakes to be lovely. We opted for the strawberries & cream tea which is their signature tea, it was very pleasant not overly sweet & complimented the food nicely. I had the included sparkling wine & my friend the pimms cocktail which we both enjoyed. As it was a celebration, we were also given a complimentary birthday cake. All in all it was a great experience, great service & excellent value for money.
