Outstanding food, brilliant atmosphere, well worth a visit. Limited choice of drinks but the sake flight is worth an exploration!

The sushi was excellent and the gyota was great. The boa buns were good as well. Service pushed us through the meal which was disappointing as we were there for no longer than 45 minutes.

The service here was very haphazard during our visit. It was difficult to catch the server's attention to order food and drinks. We ordered an extra dish mid way through dinner. It was delivered after 40 minutes. A waiter then came and told us 2 minutes later that we had to vacate the table as there was a time limit. We looked around. There were empty tables and no people waiting outside. We complained and they 'gave' us 10 mins and removed the service charge. This might all have been forgivable, if the food was tasty and of good quality. It was not. The short rib bao buns were appalling. Utterly mediocre and £17 to boot for a couple of flat, tasteless, poorly prepped buns. This venue can't be recommended. There are far better options nearby.

I really wanted to like Robata, we came for dinner and half the dishes on the menu (including cocktails) were unavailable and most of the yakitori we ordered arrived cold. I expected things to be a little overpriced and just wanted to enjoy a nice meal but was quite disappointed.Chicken thigh and pork belly were the best skewers we had but they did feel a bit like a generic store bought sauce for the glaze and the beef fillet skewer was chewy and pretty flavourless, just disappointed as I’ve been really hoping to find some good yakitori in London.

The black cod was burnt! And the portion is small. Duck salad approx. The service is terrible - they didn’t bring water, they forgot to bring a fork and knife for the cod, they served one cup of tea instead of 2 (there were two of us). By the way, there were almost no

The restaurant is known for its contemporary Japanese cuisine and robata grill dishes. The waiters take pride over their grilled skeweres dishes. The stylish ambiance and flavorful menu was an enjoyable experience to be lost and reminiscing over your trip to Japan. The food , the chilli paper squid was delicious, and the duck salad had an explosive citrusy test the portion, priced at £11 and £12. The sushi mix , 2 slices of salmon , 2 slices of tuna and 2 slices of sea bass was presented over a bed of ice cost £17.

I’ve been to Robata loads of times and the food is lovely, that goes without saying. But today I came across the wonderful Aabhash who honestly restored my faith in mankind! After having a disastrous Uber trip to the restuarant (left my phone and other belongings in the Uber) and missing the reservation by over an hour - Aabhash was the friendly face everyone hopes to meet. Although the kitchen had closed ( I was over an hour late) he allowed me to come in, was so courteous and kind and let me use a phone to call a contact and was doing all he could do to help, easing a very stressed and heightened individual! He also offered me water despite closing up!I’ve always loved the food at Robata, but from my experience with Aabhash today - I will return constantly, simply because of the kindness showed today at great inconvenience to himself.Thank you!

Outstanding food, nice atmosphere, and attentive staff. Only complaint is that they literally give you the cheapest possible wooden takeaway chopsticks… eating a £112 dinner with these cheap chopsticks feels bizarre and almost insulting as a customer. Please please PLEASE change that.Lastly, if you visit, be advised that the food will be served in ORDER. Don’t wait for all the food to arrive. Because table space is limited, they will only bring the next item that you ordered once the table has been cleared.Otherwise, truly amazing food and a stable for me and my boyfriend to celebrate special occasions at.
