Had a chance to visit again after a 5 year hiatus to enjoy their nightly live music. Funny enough, the same band was performing as five years ago, and they were just as great. This is an upscale jazz bar attracting a trendy crowd, inside an equally opulent hotel, perfect for a romantic date or a relaxed outing with friends. The drink prices are on the higher end, though of course it's still a great deal since the entrance is free. The Irish doorman managing the crowd outside is a treasure.

Located inside the stunning Rosewood hotel, we went here for nibbles and a few pre-dinner drinks before going to the Holburn dining room, also inside the hotel. The atmosphere was wonderful, very comfortable seating and incredibly attentive service from the waiting staff. When we ordered our drinks; straight away, they bought us a bowl of olives and a mixed bowl of nuts and crackers which as soon as we finished they kept replacing until we had to ask them to stop as we were going to ruin our appetite if not careful! We did have a couple of pre-dinner appetisers, which were wonderful and the cocktails were expertly made. I will definitely be back!

Great Bar, great service, special thanks to Carmine. I have been to many 50 best bars around the world and this one is a great addition to this list. Next year I'm sure it will move up. Congrats!

Now this is a spot that is a little higher class than we normally visit, but my wife thought a night out was needed while on our trip, so ‘happy wife’ and that whole thing. What a fun location, with live music and delicious cocktails. We did feel a bit out of place, but still a very enjoyable evening. The waiter was extremely friendly and gave us great suggestions. All in all, we may not come back, but it wouldn’t stop us from recommending this place to our more ‘fancy’ friends.

A great spot, with the grandeur and ambience of another era. Live music in a bar is such a rarity these days and this is the perfect place to sit, listen and soak up the atmosphere.

Impeccable service and atmosphere at Scarves. Wonderful artwork of Mr. Scarves decorates the large and comfortable room, with a range of different seating styles. We loved that there's no reservation, ensuring all walks of life can enter the bar and enjoy the live music that plays in the evening. Cocktails are expensive, but well worth every penny - your purchase of a drink also comes with complementary nuts and olives which are fantastic. Incredible work by the staff who run a tight ship here. Looking forward to my next visit!

#41 World’s best bar (2023)(Look up World’s 50 Best Bars Ranking)Bar inside the Rosewood hotel building.Very classy bar with a lot of cartoon art and live music. Quite unique combination.Vibe is incredible. Dress up - you don’t want to feel underdressed here. Drinks are good but a bit too expensive (£25-30)

What a shame... The place was recommended by my friend. Rude host looked at us like trash. Host was not welcoming and when we asked for a table she told us that it is reserved... when I asked how come is reserved if I phoned earlier just to be told that you are not accepting reservations. When I questioned her, she said '' I will be back in a minute'' disappeared and never came back.... What we regarded as a destination bar for which we were prepared to pay a premium has joined the many mediocre offerings in London. Such a shame.

We used to be a regular at this bar over the last decade but post covid this was our first visit as it was her favourite bar. The vibe that I have been used to is comfortable, chilled out and friendly service. We did not have reservation as it was a last minute celebration. We were both dressed formally and we rocked up to host. The lady shamelessly checked us out from top to bottom to possibly see if “we would fit in”. Now, as a brown couple we know exactly what that means having experienced similar incidents at other restaurants or bars. Looks like we ticked the box and were given a table. Our waiter was very friendly and we ordered our cocktails. His service was very good. However, the cocktails were ridiculously expensive at £25 a drink. However, my mind was still stuck on how we were treated when we arrived. My patience for this type of behaviour in 2023 is very low. So we decided to leave after a drink. It’s sad that this used to be a very inviting friendly nice bar but seems to have ended being another one of the London high end bars where you should feel thankful for being let inside rather than be treated as a paying customer.

Second time having a cocktail here! A post lunch cocktail after lunch at the dinning room!Reminds me of the bar at the four seasons in Paris! I love the atmosphere, and the seating, very calm and relaxed, beautiful interior too.The cocktails selection was diverse, and service was fast and friendly! Will be back thank you

With an impressive collection of fine spirits, dazzling decor, and of course, Gerald Scarfe's illustrations, this bar is truly beautiful. The cocktails are unique, the music is great, and the clientele elegant- all brought together by the knowledgeable and charming bar team. I had a great experience, and I can't wait to return. Special thanks to our bartender, John Dunne!

One of my fav cocktail bars in London. Great atmosphere, outstanding service and the group of Italian barmen are genial and make delicious cocktails. Probably the best Dry Martini with Sipsmith's Gin I have ever had. Epic night. Thanks!

Bars at Rosewood are always a must try, especially this one in London, in a historic majestic building. We came here on a Friday evening, arrived at 20 mins before 8pm. We didn’t make reservation and there were empty seats. We were seated at the table. The drink menu shows plenty of whisky and cocktails. I highly recommend the Japanese sparkling sake, sweet and smooth, and only £12 for 300ML 5% alcohol. Really suitable for girls. The snacks are free, nuts and olives .Live music starts at 8pm. The atmosphere is so chill, everyone is having a nice chat. Our serving staff is very attentive, he kept pouring drinks for us, clean up our table and bring in new snack when the plates are close to empty. The decor is very classy, British style. Chairs are comfortable. The whole hotel is just very grand and beautiful. They charge 15% service charge and I think it’s worth it.When we left at around 10pm, there is a queue by the door already. So come early if you can!
