Came for the st Patrick's event downstairs and it was well planned, full of Irish products with a pamphlet of information on history and sourcing, very nice! The band was 10/10. I will definitely come next year.

Impossible to recommend - I'd avoid this tourist trap.S&W was an institution when it was on the Strand - used to go as a student, so thought we'd try the new place last night.The steaks were pretty good, though mine was way oversalted, but everything else was patchy at best. Our server was easily the rudest I've encountered in a restaurant of this price point – unsmiling, unapologetic when the wine I'd ordered wasn't available, and generally seemed keen to get rid of us. Starters were rushed out (arrived well before a different bottle of wine eventually did) and the table was cleared by three people at the end despite us telling the first that we were still nibbling on one side dish, so the whole experienced felt rushed and unwelcoming. The table wobbled like crazy despite us asking for it to be fixed three times and when the bill came at the end she literally threw it on the table and walked off. (Some of) the other staff were better, but overall, this place needs to improve both its training and processes. Oh, and at the end... the sommelier told me he definitely had the bottle I'd wanted after all ?♂️For the medium-high price point, just go somewhere else.

The experience was an excellent dining experience, service was excellent, our waiter in particular was very friendly(sorry, didn't get his name but he was Spanish) I hope you know who you are, my family and I had a wonderful night and the service provided was excellent. Despite us having a very sick baby with us, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend S & W if you want fine quality food with excellent service. A real treat. Thank you to the staff and our Spanish waiter in particular. You really tried to make Xena smile, but unfortunately, she was just feeling very unwell and sick last night. But if she wasn't, you would've made her smile and laugh lots.
