Me and the my partner Laura dropped in here because we loved the Clapham restaurant and was on our way home. Exactly what we’ve come to expect from the tapajax vibe, completely relaxed, solid food, a great wine list and service with a smile. Exactly what Balham has been missing if I’m honest. Small and cosy but a top ten date place for London!!

Always have a great time here. Food, service and location is perfect. Can’t beat it on a summer evening.

Held my 30th here and the staff took great care of us and the food was fantastic.

Don’t get the Scallops, very overdone and not worth the price tag. Everything else was ok, wasn’t blown away.

OMG, avoid this place????, pricey and the food taste rubbish, the chilli prawns were over cooked and chewy, the scallops on a creme..., were burnt, and the asparagus wrapped in ham were disgusting... soggy asparagus wrapped in burnt ham, no thanks. Overall, it was very disappointing.

Genuinely top marks all round for Tapajax. The service is prompt and very friendly. The food was amazing. We ordered 10-12 plates, a few beers and we paid £50 a head between 4. Definitely going back. Oh, garlic prawns were

What a fabulous place. My daughter was recommended Tapasjax, so she booked us a table Saturday lunchtime. The place exceeded our expectations - Danny could not have been more hospitable if he tried! We felt so welcomed, food and wine was delicious. We will be back for sure.

We had the best lunch. The service was amazing. The food is delicious. Jack, the owner, spoke to us all about the restaurant and the food and was great company. The music was a vibe. Absolutely loved it and will be returning for a dinner soon!

We went there on a week day evening and it was quite busy but there was one staff serving - apparently everyone else didn’t turn up. He was doing an excellent job serving all the tables with just one person (although I’m sure the service would have been more attentive had there been more helpers). Patatas bravas, padrons and Jamon croquettes were nice and solid items with good sauce on bravas. The prawns and black rice were slightly disappointing as didn’t have much flavour and the probably due to the type of prawns used. The octopus was good. Overall nice relaxing local joint.

This place is great! Service is super friendly and very prompt. The food was excellent and every dish we had was so flavoursome. The standout dishes were the Secreto Iberian Pork along with the classic Pan Con Tomate. It’s a great atmosphere and really makes you want to stay and have another drink or another dish. Would be good for just a drink and also dinner.

Stopped off here for coffee and cake, lovely little Tapas bar, the staff were friendly and the cake was delicious, tables outside for when the weather is good, would love to try the tapas sometime, would definitely recommend ?

Went here with a couple of friends and the vibe was nice, at the start the waiters were really nice. The food was okay, took quite sometime to come out to us. My friend ordered food at the same time as us and she didn’t even get her food, they said that the kitchen was closed. That was a disappointment and the waitress got angry when we didnt want to pay service charge sorry but your service was horrible. 3/10 experience.

Lovely on a summer’s evening. Great atmosphere with al fresco dining with even better service. Service is impressive for London which can often be lack lustre. The food however… really just ok and overpriced. Don’t come for an authentic Spanish food experience (I am Spanish - rather opt for somewhere like Cambio de Tercio in Fulham) but enjoy for an al fresco glass of wine or cocktail which are also brilliant.

Tapajax is honestly banging! The food is unbelievable and the service second to none, you are always welcomed and they will always try to squeeze you in even if they are busy. The food comes out very fast and will not disappoint. The patatas bravas are litterally heaven on earth, if I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would probably be these. The chicken and steak are great staples as is the calamari and octopus and meat balls are also great. If I had only one suggestion would be to check the balance of pork in the menu vs. non-pork meats - as someone that doesn’t eat pork I sometimes find the menu a bit pork heavy, albeit I know the menu changes from time to time - some lamb, duck, more chicken, salmon/tuna wouldn’t go a miss! Love what you guys do though and highly recommend dining here!!
