Food not bad but service using the machine was useless as they had still forgotten to give me order until prompted.

During my visit to Tasty African restaurant in Woolwich, my initial intention was to support a business within my own community. However, my experience took an unexpected turn when I encountered an elderly lady with tribal marks. She appeared quite tired and didn't exhibit any signs of hospitality, not even a smile. Instead of acknowledging the waiting line, I expected her to call the next person, but she simply stared at me. It felt as if she wanted me to make the first move, perhaps by greeting her or showing deference as is sometimes customary in Nigeria, where a bit of rudeness can be seen as a seasoning to food. Unfortunately, this encounter resulted in the worst customer service I've ever experienced at any establishment around the world, and it was particularly disheartening coming from a member of my own community.

Nice meals but no dine ins

They sell nice African food, mainly Nigerian dishes. The pastries like meat pie chicken pie and fish pie are always freshly baked plus the puff puff, jollof rice and other home made dishes are available and party bookings too.

Rude service when being served. Favoured other customers over the queue. Ended up paying for £6 jollof rice with no meat. Had to pay separately for the meat. The meat pies and tripe were tasty but won't be coming back here again simply for the pain of service.

Very bad customer service I experienced today at woolich tasty opposite kfc. Am a Nigerian and they taught I couldn’t hear the dialect two Nigerian women abused me verbally in their dialect . Nigerians you need to do better. I have never experienced this behaviour in any English take away shop.

Made an order and the food came cold and burnt. I’m never ordering from this place again.

A welcome surprise, was a late night food order the helpful staff managed to find enough items to make a decent meal. Next time I'll come in good time and not just before closing and get some more delicious food :)

Great food, good hygiene and price is so reasonable for african food. The guy that served me was so so nice but I realised the other ladies there had some issues with cuatomer service. That is the only down point

Pretty disappointed with the exceptionally poor customer service and food quality. Have been treated very rudely by staff at both locations in Woolwich. I now go to Enish in Lewisham; food is slightly more expensive but the customer service is miles ahead and the food quality is great. As they say; you get what you pay for.

As the name says....very tasty food and quite courteous staff (for a Nigerian business). And the prices were more reasonable than expected compared to some other Nigerian restaurants offering the same variety.

Lovely Ghanaian food on offer in a welcoming environment. The waiting time is about reasonable for an African restaurant and the music really good.

The workers there should learn how to smile, they are not customer friendly at all.Update : Guess they learnt their lesson now.. They are more welcoming now?

Food poisoning from steamed fish that seemed to have been at least a day old. Was probably stored in a warm environment overnight and they served it next day. Overall, good choice of food available but quality and freshness not so good. And, they NEVER have any puff puff. No idea how they still haven’t sorted out the puff puff issue.

Can usually guarantee extremely tasty snacks such as puff puff and meat pie so would give it a 5 star for that. However I wouldn't recommend buying efo riro, egusi etc as they usually taste off and not fresh.Overall, prices are reasonable and staff provide good service.
