We came to this restaurant and thought it would be excellent, but when we arrived, no one from the staff greeted us. So we sat down at the table. The food was excellent, but for £20 it was a mini beef rib which was half fatty and half delicious. Stinky toilets.

Loud noisy pub. I have tried to book events here twice using the private room and they have double booked on both occasions. Staff are badly trained, impolite, disrespectful and extremely disorganised. This is exactly the kind of awful service that shames London. I will not be

We had a surprise family lunch for my Brother in Law who has come to London for his 60th birthday. As his name is Alexander Hay where better to surprise with with unexpected guests including my nephew, also Alexander Hay. The staff were in on the surprise and we're so considerate in keeping the secret and making us all feel so welcome, particularly the 2 Alexander Hays. The food and service were great but the welcome surpassed everything. Thank you so much.

We were a group of 22 ladies meeting up for the first time following our breast cancer journeys. The staff were amazing! We had brilliant service and food. Special thanks to Denise and Esther for everything, all the ladies had a wonderful afternoon

A large basement restaurant and bar - we visited in run up to Christmas - we were a party of 10. Friendly welcome - comfortable seats - good choice on menu - reasonable prices for London - quick service - and when 'encouraged' to vacate table ( next party had arrived and we had been there for allocated time) this was done tactfully with an offer of a glass of proceso for each of our party in the bar - so no issue. So all in all a decent venue - and given it was very busy for Christmas one cam assume it would be even better during quieter times.Well done Alexander Hay.

We had our team Christmas lunch. Eight people to begin with which within the hour became 9 and then 8 again. The staff was really accommodating and helpful. We were the smaller table and our main was slightly delayed, however, it was clear that the food was warm delicious and well prepared. Every plate was wiped clean. There was a slight miscommunication by one of the staff members but this was swiftly dealt with by the manager and a refund was issued asap.I would highly recommend this place due to the service, the food and the atmosphere.

We had a friends Christmas party here and the food and staff were perfection. They went out of their way to provide us with the best service, table location and gorgeous food. The surrounding pubs had issues so all the overflow went to the Alexander Hays making them extremely busy but the staff handled it with professionalism and positive attitudes. The whole table (12 of us) already want to book in again for next year.Vegetarian options: Gorgeous vegan options
