Very hospitable and historic public house. Worth a visit. For a pub, real quality in the toilet facilities.

Yes this is not like your typical pub as the atmosphere is different the food was alright not to the expectations of this place, as well the ceiling doesn’t match the vibe of this place. Oh the staff are really good and take care of you. Overall i recommend to try it maybe it would be a different experience for you.

Very good late Victorian pub in London's Mayfair. Four cask beers on handpump when I visited. The pub has a grand interior with polished wood and plasterwork. Many original features including a double faced ceiling clock remain or have been superbly replaced after WW2 bomb damage. It is Grade II-listed. Interestingly, the splendid exterior, which is faced in red brick and pink terracotta, was designed by the same architect as designed the exterior of the pavilion at Lords Cricket Ground! The building in which the pub is at ground level also contains the Mount St. Restaurant on the first floor. The remaining three floors have rooms available for hire. All the areas are designed to showcase art from the Hauser & Wirth contemporary art gallery. The spectacular pub ceiling is a specially commissioned work by the late British artist Dame Phyllida Barlow. Above the bar is a neon ‘FRIENDS’ sign by Turner Prize winner Martin Creed, and on the wall at the back of the room hangs an artwork by Mark Campbell.
