I notice there are no reviews on here since 2022, perhaps nobody else has been able to afford the place since then! We were the only people in on what was a very busy Christmas Saturday lunchtime throughout the other establishments in the area. Before booking I had emailed the hotel to make sure that the traditional afternoon tea (as shown on their website) was still available, not the new tea and tales version. I was told if I made a note when booking that this would be fine, which I did. On arrival at the hotel at the appointed time no staff were in the vicinity, after waiting I went to reception and someone was summoned. I asked them if we could have the traditional afternoon tea (as arranged) and was told this was not available. The tea and tales is vastly overpriced, with the compulsory service charge coming in at £130 for tea for two with no alcohol. I didn't really enjoy the taste or quality of the food. In retrospect I wish I had gone to browns restaurant across the road, where a better tea and experience can be had for around half the price!

Had some great birthday cocktails and snacks here. Manuel was our waiter and was fantastic - very attentive and friendly. The drinks were really tasty and snacks great. Would highly recommend!

Food was stunning and service was extremely attentive. Ambience was excellent, I did feel like the individual chairs could have been slightly more comfortable but it was a wonderful place for our celebratory dinner.

Fantastic festive afternoon tea at a competitive price in comparison to other hotels nearby. Please note! The den is INSIDE the hotel at number 45 St Martin's Lane, which isn't apparent from the outside of the building. The decor is creative and cosy. One of the best things was that there was no dress code. £55/head for afternoon tea and a cocktail.

Had the absolute pleasure of sitting at the bar with my boyfriend and Miguel was our bartender. He was just outstanding, the best espresso martini and Negroni. He conversed with us entire night and just kept us enthralled. If you’re in the area please swing by and have a drink.

Had a lovely relaxed afternoon tea served by very friendly Vicky on 16th July. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was very good overall.
