A first class lunch, as always. The bar was a great place to start, the meat selection looked as good as ever and was cooked to perfection.

Classic old English restaurant with a traditional pub feel. Fantastic silver service and even better steaks and chops, definitely one of the best steak places in London, and it serves good pints if you don't fancy the fine wines.

We decided to have Christmas lunch out this year and overall this was a very positive experience. The service was very friendly. The turkey Christmas dinner with all the trimmings was delicious. They oyster was delicious although felt a bit mean that there was only one given the cost of the meal. Salmon was really nice too. We enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding but the Christmas pudding less. The mince pies at the end were disappointing. The room we were in only had a few tables and we felt the atmosphere was lacking a bit vs. The Christmas Day vibes we were expecting.

Overall, we had a fantastic time. Our waiter was amazing, giving fabulous service, and the food was all delicious. The visit was slightly marred by the experience when we came to leave. We had read that there was a two hour window for lunch, which we fully understood, and as such were just preparing to leave dead on two hours. I had gone to the ladies when my husband was approached and told “I know your wife is in the restroom but we do need your table back.” which I thought was rather unnecessary as there were other tables in the room of our size, and we were clearly about to leave which they were aware of. Apart from that everything was great, but not sure I would come back because of the experience at the end.

I've been coming here for 30yrs and it contiues to provide great food and a great atmosphere. Reading some of the reviews complaining about the noise and the prices, they seem to have missed the point. It is noisy and it is expensive, reassuringly so. If you want a cheap, quiet meal, get a sandwich and sit in a library. If you want a raucous meal with great steak and great wine, come to the Guinea. Tables can be a bit tight so if you are feeling anti-social, stay away.

Went back after a few years, and sadly, the level of customer service is not the same. We booked a table for four, and they decided to give us a table next to the service station while they had an empty table in a quieter area. Please see picture attached. The chateaubriand was served with cutlery immersed in the gravy. Please see picture attached, and when I told the waiter that he should have been more careful, he told me," I can change the cutlery for you??!! " I was speechless!! Terrible dining experience!!

I went for dinner with a friend recently on a Friday night. It was spectacular. The service was fast, attentive. The oysters were the largest I've ever seen and went perfectly with their negronis. The wine list is extensive and worth the price. As for the main course, I particularly enjoyed the selection of potatoes. The rib steak was a solid 10/10 and paired excellently with their confit spuds and creamed spinach. The brandy peppercorn sauce lifted it to the next level. We ended the meal with a seriously strong martini and enjoyed a cigar outside. Compliments to all staff at the Guinea.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The food was amazing. We did feel a bit rushed though and it was like we were being forced to leave at the end of what should have been a lively evening which made us feel a bit uncomfortable.Otherwise, it’s a great place and I would recommend.

Amazing old style London grill. Food came fast with lashings of beer adding to the experience. Had the 400g ribeye on the bone which was perfectly cooked and tasted great. IPA was my beer of

Absolutely fabulous, the best steak and wine in London. I’ll be back to try the pie.

Absolutely terrible! We visited last evening and it was the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. I cannot even believe how terrible it was.We arrived for our reservation that I booked in a few months ago. Staff seemed unprepared and sat us in a busy location. Our waiter was clumsy, dropped the serving tongs on the ground while serving bread, promptly picked them up and continued serving bread with them. Twice served us wine with the cap still on the bottle, then served our wine to the table next to us (which they gladly accepted, then joked about it). Our meat was disgraceful, ordered it rare and it was overcooked, tough and tasteless. Our sides came to the table well after our mains. When booking in, they asked about special occasions, I had noted it was our Wedding Anniversary, and there was no acknowledgement of that at all.My husband & I dine out often and I will honestly state this was the worst experience I have ever had. There are many wonderful restaurants and this is certainly not one of them. Very disappointed in this establishment.
