If you fancy Tesco microwaved food with 13.5% service charge and 1.5 hrs wait - this is the place.Service is 3 stars, because the waiter totally accepted the faults of the restaurants and tried to be open and sarcastic about it.We had a great time in a clean and central place, as had a lot to catch-up on since 16 years.

The slowest meal I have ever had unfortunately. Maybe they weren't expecting diners? The food when it eventually came was OK, but tiny portions so we had to hurriedly order multiple portions of chips to fill our stomachs.

This dining experience exceeded my expectations in EVERY WAY, from greeting though cocktails, dinner (and my return for lunch the next day), and dessert -- food preparation, plating, and service were 5-Star rating. The setting is intimate, and when dressed for the holiday, you can enjoy the Spirit of Christmas in the special touches that invite you to dress up *and* relax into the season. The adjoining boutique hotel accommodations were entirely affordable and all but guarantee my return for a 2024 Christmas getaway. Crafted cocktails are inventive and made with finely distilled spirits -- the rhubarb margarita was my favorite. Fish and chips from the lunch menu were excellent, and my choice for dinner was the tomato and pesto pasta, which was absolutely wonderful. My choices for dessert were the Belgium dark chocolate tart and pear tart at lunch -- the cherry sorbet and chocolate would win for me on a repeat visit. Mr. Buddhika, the restaurant manager, can be trusted to keep a close eye on details while providing the measure of hospitality that is both pleasantly welcoming and entirely professional. The pride he has for both the restaurant and hotel are evident and informs his work in a wonderful way. Beyond these details, I encourage you to pay attention to the impressive sense of team work at play, which includes the hostesses at the front desk, the servers (Oksana makes a fabulous margarita, by the way), and the magic coming from the kitchen -- I offer my highest praise for the chef. If you are still reading, I will add just one more thing: I write this review with both the highest praise *and* a measure of reluctance -- glad to offer the recommendation but knowing that, if the Hyde Restaurant and Bar are discovered by too many others to be the incredible go-to spot for dining in the Christmas 2024 season (or any other time), I may not so easily find my own table. I'm nonetheless passing on my encouragement that on your next visit to London, you make The Hyde one of your -high-priority stops, and I'll trust my luck to early planning. Bon Appetit!

Really nice afternoon tea. Great presentation, very pleasant service. Did have to hunt them down for more tea as they left us alone after dropping off rea and biscuits but very pleasant. Lovely holiday music and calm intimate traditional vibe. Relaxing tea.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but once we had the food no one came to check on us for the whole couple of hours we were there (only customers in the room) but when we sought someone out they were friendly and attentive. Scones were dry IMO and not that nice but I really liked the little cakes, more suited to me then other cake options at afternoon teas. Filling and I appreciated not being rushed. On a voucher the value is more reasonable so have a look for an offer instead.

I had booked their afternoon tea experience for 5 which was confirmed however upon arrival I was told that they had a private booking so they would not be able to accommodate us. This unprofessional behaviour is not expected from such a place. Instead I was told that it’s better if I would book directly from them instead of third party apps.They did however try to find an alternative for us nearby.All in all a huge disappointment.

I can't review the food as we ended up not staying but the service was bad. We made a reservation at a Famous HIDE restaurant but I guess I mistyped the name while getting our uber. When we came in- I could not recognize the place, I was very confused, asking the waitress and the host if it was the famous Hide? The rude girl said, it was. I asked if they have our reservation cause it looks very different from the place I was planning to visit. They said they did have it. The girl obviously spoke Russian just like us and we asked her about it changing the convo into Russian..she said "Yes, why?" and continued replying in her heavy accent English showing her snarky attitude..Then the manager came in and I showed him my confirmation email from the real "Hide". He was nice enough to tell us it was not the right place..so we left. After 15 min or so of nonsense... But we felt that everybody knew from the very beginning where we were heading to but tried to be deceiving to keep us in. By the way, the place was completely empty and we didn't get any single smile from the staff over there. Sorry
