The hot dog arrived with just a roll and a horrid sausage.

Cute but the segregated dog side was a bit unnecessary considering everyone there had a

Busy cafe in Highgate Wood. Food unfortunately did not live up to the menu descriptions. Crispy bacon was soggy, egg was catering scrambled etc. Nice view of the park though.Kid-friendliness: Good fir kids with a separate enclosure for dogs and their owners.

Way over priced for the quality of food. Tailored for the wealthy clientele of the local area.

Whoever is managing this cafe doesn’t allow their employees to get their tips and yell at their overworked employees in front of their customers , very unprofessional…

I only had a drink but the food my friends had was delicious apparently and very generous portions. Lovely people running it.

Stopped in early one morning and had the best soup ever! Service was amazing. Because I’m gluten- and-dairy intolerant I asked for no bread - they were so apologetic and gave me the most amazing slice of GFVG cake instead!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options. Vegetarian options.

I love this cafe. The staff are wonderful, and the service albeit sometimes a little slow is always friendly. Coffee and hot chocolate are lovely and also have a surprisingly good wine selection. Food is pretty good, but not enough options for vegans.

You really only come here for the atmosphere. It's nothing special in terms of food and drink.

We went around 10am and asked for tea, coffee and two cooked breakfasts to eat in. We were given the drinks to take to our table but my tea came in a cardboard cup. I pointed out that I was eating in and could I please have a real cup but was told that he didn't have any. When I pointed out the row of cups on the shelf behind him he then told me that people stole the real cups, and they cost a fortune to replace (he took out a box of new cups and showed them to me to prove his point) so no I would have to have a cardboard one. When I then noted that everyone drinking coffee had a real cup, he dug his heels in and insisted that I couldn't have a cup. I probably should have left then but we had paid, so I went to our table spilling hot tea on to my hand as the flimsy cardboard cup buckled. I was then given the wrong breakfast, along with one other woman on another table. When I eventually got my correct order (my tea - what remained of it was cold by now), the food was actually very good and the portions were generous. Just give your paying customer an actual cup to drink from please!! Don't argue, lie or start lecturing on how much cups cost!!!!

This is a very decent café set in a perfect location at the centre of Highgate Woods. The menu has a decent range of home-cooked dishes at prices that are pretty standard for North London. It's a good place for lunch when the sun is shining.

This has always been a lovely spot in the middle of the woods, a welcome break in Winter or Spring/Summer, offering nice brunches, light meals and cakes. Unfortunately, the pleasant caring service doesn't seem to extend to the appearance or cleanliness of the place, and the area for dogs + owners looks like the inside of an old kennel. Very off-putting, and you can't help wondering therefore what else they aren't 'seeing' in back of house. Come on Pavilion Cafe, you're surrounded by picturesque nature - embrace it, don't scare it away !
