Beyond incredible. Blown away by the whole experience. We have eaten at most of the top places (fat duck, kitchen table etc) and this was just as good, service probably better, ambience miles ahead and incredible value. (£355 for 2) Such a shame it’s closing in 3 weeks because we would book to come again.

Last night I had the pleasure of experiencing @theseathesea_chefstable in #hackney with Executive Chef @leocarreiraaaA seafood blind tasting menu created using the ingredients of the day from the Chelsea fishmonger. Their no-waste approach to cooking was inspiring; using a vast array of culinary techniques to make use of every part of each ingredient and create something delicious.Each course was introduced with its methods and the thought process behind each component allowing us to truly appreciate each mouthful.The dishes I’m still thinking about are the mackerel with the braised pine nut foam and the Pão de Ló with toasted fennel seed ice cream and caviar!!! The flavour combinations on these had my tastebuds going wild!

Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had: scientific precision mixed with a complete understanding of what means seafloor sing; nothing is hiding the fish, every dish serves to highlight the qualities of it. And the drinks menu is absolutely perfectly aligned with the menu.A wonderful experience that I cannot wait to repeat. Bravo!

Incredible experience. I mean of course the food is amazing and the wine list detailed notably on the white side the atmosphere is different from any restaurant I have tried as well. I am still overwhelmed by some of the dishes I had the luck to enjoy. Definitely a must go place before they get a well deserved Michelin’s

This was the best meal I've ever had. Service is fantastic without being obsequious, the place is beautiful, but the food is genuinely some of the best I've ever had. A long time ago I ate at Noma in Copenhagen and I probably enjoyed this meal more overall.

I had a great time with my friends at The Sea, The Sea Hackney. It is the most special and intimate dining experience I have experienced in London. How refreshing! Wow! The seafood quality was incredible (sea to table under 24 hours!), the service was attentive and the ambience/ atmosphere was cool. The chef (Leandro Carreira) and his team are passionate about their craft and it really shows. It speaks for itself. We enjoyed every bit of the experience! I am dumbfounded that this restaurant hasn’t been given a Michelin star yet, it’s due for it!! The quality from start and finish is high! I am thoroughly impressed and had a great night out with my foodie friends for my belated birthday celebration. If you love seafood and intimate fine dining with a personal touch, look no further - this is where you treat yourself! From me, a chronic critique, I award this establishment with a high 6 out of 5 stars .. Bravo gentlemen, I cannot praise you enough ?? I am still feeling high from this experience ?

My son had heard about The Sea The Sea so he booked it for us while I was in town. I don’t know Hackney well but would guess this is the pretty place in the entire neighborhood. From the front window where they do the air drying to the stadium kitchen.If the room is gorgeous- the food is sublime.They are fish mongers so everything we ate was in “the sea” within 16 hours of it being served.Every bite was a journey- seeing the team put it together and then tell us about where it came from. The menu changed frequently so I won’t go into detail about the specific, unbelievably delicious dishes except what they called “smoked eel” and it was definitely the best eel corn dog that I could have ever imagined- not that I would have imagined it but I’m so thankful The Sea The Sea team did!!
