Had an afternoon tea there.Reservation was for 4pm, we arrived an hour earlier.I asked if a table is already ready, they said no, although I saw one empty table. I asked if we could sit there, they said no.At 4pm we were seated exactly at that table.Waitress was very unfriendly as well. Food was good though.

The Bar is Located at the rear of the Royal Horseguards Hotel. It has and entrance from the Hotel and another entrance from the Whitehall Gardens. It is a lovely spot to sit back under the shade of the trees and enjoy a cool drink. Very Lovely Bar.

Excellent location! Comfortable room, with decent sized en suite. Very clean too. Room was very quiet because it faced the back of the hotel. Disappointing selection of complimentary drinks and snacks in our room. Breakfast too was disappointing; over-cooked eggs which tasted like rubber, whilst the sausages and bacon were under-cooked. Cheeses were old, and had started to go hard from age! Kitchen ran out of bread very quickly, which showed poor planning by catering managers. One bar was closed during our stay, meaning we could only use the so-called terrace, which had a very limited selection. We never had dinner because the food didn’t match the high prices being being charged. (Breakfast too was expensive considering it was below par.) Fire alarm went off at 03:30 hrs on our last night. Fire doors in corridors did not close, which was not good. Also, no one came to check on all guests. No explanation offered by management about what happened. Safety in the event of a real fire is clearly a potential issue for this hotel. Staff we came into contact with were very friendly.

We had an awesome stay at the House guards and love that flowerty scent in the lobby. I asked one of the concierge he said pomegranate and lavender but smells like gardenia. The breakfast was great...

Stayed here for 7 nights whilst on holidays through Europe. Excellent place to stay. Staff very helpful. Our room was great looking over the river towards The Eye. Close to all you need to see. I am sure when next in London we will be staying again

Having been given an opportunity to share a birthday gift of an afternoon tea voucher for the Royal Horseguards Hotel, we made our booking and arrived at the hotel to discover this splendid building in a quiet street close to Embankment Gardens, with friendly staff who did all they could to make our visit a sheer delight. The tea was delicious, and we were served by the very charming Olena. The hotel's attention to detail carried through the whole event, including attractive crockery to complete the picture. Pimms or Prosecco to start, choice of teas and a good balance of savouries and cakes made the afternoon very memorable. My partner cannot wait for next year!

We have rated the Royal House Guards Hotel as a good. The staff are very friendly staff and welcoming. The balcony room we used was well presented, very comfortable bed, complimentary bar fridge, Nesspresso coffee and light and temp control was outstanding. The breakfast was fabulous and no queues, comfortable dining experience you would expect from a 5 star hotel. However, do be aware, Peanut butter and Marmite could not be provided. Not sure why? The location is fantastic, easy to walk to most of the West End theatres and opposite the London Eye. Its proximity to many major attractions made our stay more memorable. We enjoyed our stay, slept incredibly well. On the flip side - We encountered hot water issues with our en-suite which despite the hotel engineer visiting several times, it never resolved. I would have expected more to have been done, an alternative room, maybe and on all three nights the shower could not provide consistent hot water for a satisfactory result. To add to this, the shower door leaked and unfortunately a puddle in your en-suite is not easy to clear up. Despite this, we would recommend staying but do check your facilities work well.

Following a less than average afternoon tea back in December, we were invited to return for a Sunday lunch by the hotel management team. We had to move the time twice and they were very accommodating. Originally, the receptionist who we had spoken to had advised us we couldn't eat in the garden, which I knew was untrue. Upon arrival, we were allowed to eat in the garden and were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco. We ordered 4 scallops dishes for starters, then 2 fish dishes and 2 steaks for main. Overall, the food was tasty, albeit slightly overpriced. At £70 per head, we would have expected more. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, but clearly, they are in training. The scallops were good, but the steak was slightly too fatty. They were clearly overwhelmed with people as we had to wait a fair bit One recommendation would be to remove all the fake flowers from the tables as it makes the garden look cheap and dated. Apart from this, it is set in lovely surroundings. I feel that once they have more trained people, they lower the prices a bit and they refresh the decor, they'll be on a winning ticket. We will be back

I would have given a 4* if I would have had answers to my questions prior to arriving. I kept hearing that someone would get back to me, but no one ever did. I needed information on getting to the hotel from Heathrow, and what we needed to do to get an early check in because of the time our flight arrived. It would have been wonderful to have had answers before leaving for our 3 night stay from the US. When we arrived, we were booked for a queen bed, not a king, so we had to wait. There were a few more disappointments, like asking the bartender if he could make a strawberry margarita and being told, “No.” in a very hateful manner. I would have fired him on the spot if I managed this bar. Shame he was so hateful and lost his sale.

Historical, quirky hotel. Outstanding location making for an easy walk to just about everything. Beautiful garden, beautiful building. Could use some updates, but overall a nice place. Breakfast buffet was great.

I love the vibe of the hotel, it’s very comforting. Also Khaled at the front desk made me feel very comfortable, I will definitely be staying here again. Me and my friends really enjoyed our experience.

This was a trip of a life time. My husband and I stayed for 4 days and the hotel staff were very accomidating and provided all the information that we needed to navigate thru London. If you are used to getting around with ease, use the Tube System (Englands subway system). Watch out for cyclist. They don't slow down and they don't break for pedestrians. Make sue you pack a good supply of walking shows, because that's the best way to see the city.

A trendy and hipster-friendly brunch café with a laid-back vibe. The avocado toasts and artisanal coffees were a hit among millennials. The quirky decor and relaxed atmosphere made it a favorite spot for a leisurely weekend brunch.

Took 20 mins to get out the most basic salad while eating here for lunch and a couple next to me sat down after me and got large meal before my brown sad salad. The rose was nice.
